Pope isn't going to be given more than next season to get this fixed. His leash was already short thanks to Calipari's malfeasance. This fanbase is already restless.

Pope is a good guy to be sure. I'd love for him to get it fixed and prove us all wrong. But it's clear that isn't going to happen at this juncture.

Mitch has been a complete failure in basketball and football. Rich Brooks is the only hire he's gotten right.

He inherited Tubby, hired Billy Clyde. Mike Pratt, RJ Corman, Joe Craft etc forced his hand to hire Calipari. And now this horseshite with Pope.

He hired Joker, and then Stoops walked into his office and blew him away with his presentation. He wasn't even on Mitch's candidate list. While I love the Stein hire, the jury is obviously out on that so we can't praise or criticize that one yet.

Just fricking go away already Mitch.

Yep. Stein has assembled a solid staff and hit the ground running on recruiting. Boosters have ponied up NIL money for the fresh start. A lot of positive momentum for UK football this offseason. Going to have to make some noise against a tough arse schedule in 2026 to keep this ball rolling.

Here's the scoop:

Stein flew back to Lexington after Oregon beat Texas Tech the other day, in part because of Leavitt. Leavitt arrived in Lexington last night and will be here visiting this weekend. Local outlets here in Lexington are reporting that $4.1 mil is indeed the offer on the table for Leavitt.
