Stripped splines on rear drive shaft.
Filled cavity with hot glue, forced into place, allowed 10 minutes to cool, and drove home.

Window on my Jeep fell off the track in the middle of a long trip across several states in the rain. Pulled over at a hobby lobby and bought some suction cups. Stuck em to the window right above the door to hold it up. Was pretty proud of myself for that temporary fix.

I had a hunting truck and the switch connected to the 4wd selector on the floor went out so even though the transmission would engage to 4wd the front axle actuator would not engage. I ran a straight wired toggle switch from the battery to the dash to the actuator so when I shifted it into 4wd I would just flip the switch with it

this wasn't a rigged job, but just making do. in college a fiat spider was always giving me issues. On a florida trip 4th gear went out so I just went from 3rd to 5th gear. Eventually when 3rd gear went out it was too tough to go from 3nd to 5th so I eventually changed the transmission.

showed up at my houseboat a couple weeks ago for the weekend and the main power wire was broke. i didn't have any supplies or anything and it was 29 degrees. all i could find was some clear packing tape and my pocket knife... it worked.

Dish Network went out during a bad thunderstorm in the middle of a football game I was watching. I don't have an air antenna and the only coaxial cables I had were 3ft and 6ft long... Not near long enough to reach the old cable outlet on the wall across the room... So I rigged up an Air HD Antenna real quick from the 3ft piece of coax, some tweezers and an old socket box I found in a drawer.
FWIW - You can do this by grounding any piece of coax. I've attached a phillips head screw to the end of a piece of coax with electrical tape on multiple occasions. I just didn't have any electrical tape handy this time around.

Went camping in the woods and was using an inverter to power laptop and lights. Inverter ran truck battery dead. We were about 2 miles off the main road and 20 miles from any tow or service truck. Had a chainsaw so I took bar and chain off then wrapped a few layers of duct tape on sprocket/clutch. Then took serpentine belt off the alternator of truck and wrapped alt pulley with more tape. Being it was an old f150 I actually had room to get chainsaw down in and mash saw sprocket to alt pulley and spin the alternator to charge the truck battery enough to start.

The electrical outlet box. I used one of the holes drilled in it to choke up on the tweezers to keep them pinched on the cable wire on that end (other half is attached to "Cable/Antenna In" on the computer.
The easiest way is to actually find a phillips head screw that has a notch big enough to push the wire into and then tape it to the end of the cable with electrical tape. You can loop the length of cable, drop it behind a dresser or move it around 360 degrees in order to "fine tune" reception for specific channels.
