What's the best "Jerry" rigging job you ever pulled off?

My dad was pretty good at this stuff out of necessity. My little brother inherited the gift. I remember when he was a kid he and his buddies rigged up a pull behind trailer using plywood and garbage can wheels to carry their fishing poles and tackle boxes. It was like a chariot being pulled by two bikes at the same time. Hilarious to watch them turn around corners pulling that thing.

Rigged a fuel transfer pump to a washdown hose using electrical tape to save a fishing boat from sinking offshore this past weekend.
Does that count

I believe the current acceptable PC term is a "bush fix".

Have done many. One time we were offshore fishing and a freeze plug blew out the motor. Removed exhaust manifold and hammered in some big lead weights we had. Caught fish and made it home.

Riggged up a still once back in college. Lost the brain cells that contained the specs once I drank the product, though.

On NYE, we were boiling crawfish. We went help the neighbor move a big arse gun safe in his house and left the pot unattended for about 10 minutes. It was windy as hell and it caught the natural gas line to the burner on fire. It melted the rubber coating and exposed the coiled metal line.
We coated the line with pipe dope and wrapped the hell out of it with duct tape. Turned on the gas and sprayed the line with soapy water....... NO LEAKS!!! Continued boiling and the crawfish were awesome.

I could write a book on this shite.
I pull off something amazing almost daily. I do a bunch of R&D work so it's perfectly acceptable to be creative.
