Correct, a law degree is becoming more and more like a business management degree. A dime a dozen

Just to comment on the auto parts.
Rock Auto part for an O2 sensor. Denso part #2344169. $42.00.
O'Reilly's price for the exact same part #2344169. $100.00.
Advance Auto for the exact same part #2344168. $100.00.
This is the price for the exact same part. If your car is running fine with a check engine light, the shipping time is negligible.
Compare spark plug NGK prices.
I'd also like to add all these car wash places near me. It's insane. The ones that seem to be viable are near new car lots.

I’m sure the politicians will prevent it from happening but once self driving cars are fully matured I see no reason why the car insurance industry should exist.

In regards to the Tex Mex references, you do realize that Mexican food and pizza are two of the most profitable restaurants going. The number one killer in restaurants is employee theft and food costs (spoilage). All Mexican dishes have lettuce, tomatoes and cheese, therefore little spoilage. Throw in the high charge for margaritas and there you go.

Death of Newspapers.
Some have already folded and others are about to be placed on the bottom of the bird cage of history.

Air BnB’s
Worked at first as an alternative to hotels but folks got greedy.
How so? A lot of places have nailed the STVR market with increased property taxes. Then you have hospitality taxes. Increased utility costs and insurance. And inflation generally pushing up the costs of keeping them clean, maintained, furnished, and equipped. And AirBnB takes its cut.
I’ve done (as owner) STVR since 2006 on and off. It is a total pain in the arse for owners.
I seldom rent them either. I agree generally that unless it’s for a longer stay and we have lots of family and/or our dogs, and a hotel is available, I’ll take the hotel. But not because of owners’ “greed.”
I’d just rather hit a button on the Hilton or Marriott app and get a digital key and never have to deal with anyone. Or get an absurd price on Priceline.

You mean the cartel to launder money?
Yes you are correct and they change ownership continually to make the ownership trail as obscure as possible.

Death of Newspapers.

McClatchy Media Company, also known as McClatchy, is an American publishing company incorporated under Delaware's General Corporation Law. Originally based in Sacramento, California, United States, and known as The McClatchy Company, it became a subsidiary of Chatham Asset Management, headquartered in Chatham Borough, New Jersey, as a result of its 2020 bankruptcy.
The company operates 29 daily newspapers in 14 states and has an average weekday circulation of 1.6 million and Sunday circulation of 2.4 million.[2] In 2006, it purchased Knight Ridder, which at the time was the second-largest newspaper company in the United States. In 2024, McClatchy merged with A360media.
McClatchy journalists have also won nine Pulitzer prizes in their 159-year history,[3] most recently in 2017 for an article on the Panama Papers. They were also finalists in 2015 for articles on government efforts to hide Bush-era CIA Enhanced interrogation techniques.[4]
You can buy a share for the cost of their newspaper.

I couldnt imagine the pain in the arse and cost of owning one
Ditto.
They're ludicrously expensive to buy and I'm not keeping one in my driveway so I have to pay to store it somewhere. Gas is higher than giraffe pussy.
And no one in my generation that I know of or heard of owns one (In early 40s).
Too much work to maintain and you have to have some skills and tools. Dealerships do expensive, yet shitty work. Stuff never gets fixed. Not work the hassle. They're going to have to make shite better, easier to maintain and give better service.

Some of them prefer weed.
Colorado for instance the liquor stores are basically 40+ and all the young guys drink craft beer if annything and smoke.

Independent pharmacies and physicians. It's a shame. Better prices and service. Once their gone, people will really feel the corporate squeeze if they can't afford concierge services.

It is that high, it's not uncommon to get something 50% of MSRP.
As far as owning one, you better be able to DIY stuff or it's a money pit.

Honestly the catfish industry is in bad shape. It’s been on decline since 2004 except during Trumpa first term where we saw growth for 3 years then COVID happened.
High input costs and market prices being held down due to cheap imports have made it tough enough but still profit is possible. But now you’re seeing a lot of the older farmers and processors die or retire and many either have heirs not interested in it or not as competent. And these big operations cannot find enough experienced competent management anymore, processors can’t get reliable labor. The capital it requires to enter the industry is ridiculous. If you have to purchase land and build ponds it’ll take 20k an acre before you sell your first fish. Loans are tough to get for this reason. Few young people want to work that hard with so much risk. But if we lose much more acreage it will start a domino effect of infrastructure collapsing such as equipment manufacturers, feed mills, processors.
