My favorite British aircraft has to be the De Havilland Mosquito.

The Mosquito FB Mk. VI was often flown in special raids, such as Operation Jericho (an attack on Amiens Prison in early 1944), and precision attacks against military intelligence, security, and police facilities (such as Gestapo headquarters). On 30 January 1943, the 10th anniversary of Hitler being made chancellor and the Nazis gaining power, a morning Mosquito attack knocked out the main Berlin broadcasting station while Hermann Göring was speaking, taking his speech off the air.

This was an airplane made mostly of wood. It had an airspeed of 400mph, no need for machine guns just out run them, it was "stealth" as far as the radar of that time.

It was like putting two V-8 Rolls-Royce engines on a pine wood derby car.

Dueling scars (German: Schmiss) have been seen as a "badge of honour" since as early as 1825. Known variously as "Mensur scars", "the bragging scar", "smite", "Schmitte", or "Renommierschmiss", dueling scars were popular amongst upper class Germans and Austrians involved in academic fencing at the start of the 20th century. Being a practice amongst university students, it was seen as a mark of their class and honour, due to the status of dueling societies at German and Austrian universities at the time.[1] The practice of dueling and the associated scars was also present to some extent in the German military.[2

I wouldn't be one today. When I was younger, there were very few mothers that drove their kids to school. You walked, rode a bike or took the bus. I pass by an elementary school frequently. There is a line of cars down the side street, there is a line of cars down the next street and into a parking lot.

Then the city decided to put cameras during school hours in front of the school where I have never seen a kid. Never. 25mph on a 5 lane road. I read where the "take" was in the double digit millions.
I recall reading about parents that took donated toys to Wal-Mart for refunds.

So, you are telling me that a sailor on the first nuclear submarine might get confused?

....G,H,one,J,K

Eye, 2,3,4...

Just kidding, knowing the military at the time, someone thought this should be a standard.

Why is there no "I" in that alphabet?
It took more than 2 years to bring in some asphalt to repair a 6 foot long section.

Traveler... A photo from that site. Poignant.

I've always wondered what squad or wing those "skull and crossbones" were from.

Badass.

Is the F-15 mothballed? I was at an air show at an Air Force base, when the announcer said...

"Ladies and gentlemen, the only aircraft to accelerate going straight vertical".

I also toured the USS Saratoga that was docked in Mayport, Florida. Those F-18's looked very small next to an F-14.

'm so tired of these douchenozzles around here that drive those loud arse, annoying as frick souped up trucks that always drive like they are taking a dying passenger to the hospital. Like what in the hell are you in such a hurry for? Its one of the lamest subcultures there is.

There are assholes on both sides of the spectrum.

The a-hole diesel truck driver that thinks it's cool to pass you "burning coal" only to stop at the next red light.

The dipshit driving a piece of shite car with no side panels and doughnut tires, thinking he is Mario.

I may be inept about a lot of things, driving 6 figure trucks into wall is not one of them.

I have been driving my Toyota Tundra for 25 years. I haven't walked on a Ford dealership lot in 30.

My bad. Can't figure out some of these embeds. Then I thought, maybe this is AI.

Ford couldn't have made a Shelby F-150, but they did.
