I don't know about the country as a whole but the alcohol industry on the west coast is in decline because of Gen Z being being a boring generation.

driving south on 231 from HSV, there's an overload of Mexican restaurants. every little 2 bit town has one or two.
our smallish city (pop. 21,300) has 3 (and about to be 4) large ones, 2 hole in the wall places. plus a few tiendas that sell mostly to Hispanics.

One of our clients has opened up four or five in the last few years. No cooks, everything is pre-made in a central location and microwaved on site. He makes a killing.

Fast Food industry is pricing itself out of the market specifically chains like Taco Bell and Pizza Hut. You still have the die hards who think it’s 1991 and you can still eat there for 5$ but 4$ for a sub par taco isn’t a recipe for success when you can get authentic food for a cheaper price is idiotic. Pizza Hut has been surpassed by Little Caesars and Dominos. It isn’t long for this World

This is probably the business model moving forward. I know you can rent them for trips.
There is also a company in Huntsville that rents them for events (Talladega, Bonneroo, etc.); you pay the rental fee they pull them to the location, set them up. You arrive, spend the weekend and leave. They come back, break them down, dump the dump tank, hail them out and clean them.

I love Michael Girdley's videos on this type of subject. Today's video is about the dairy industry. I don't know much about it, but I know in my hometown there is a major dairy farm that has transitioned to beef.

I've seen these anecdotes on X over the last few months and couldn't tell if it was subtle marketing or real, which sent me looking into it (it's real, although it's probably also stealth marketing).

Many of the gas stations popping up these days are producing better "fast food" than the fast food places. I know it's always joked upon (and true) about Louisiana having kickass food at gas stations, but hell...why would I get Taco Bell if there's a Stripes or Sunco in the same vicinity with better tacos where you can also watch them make your food?
Much of the gas station pizza, like Hunt Brothers and others, taste better than Pizza Hut. Quick Trip and Pilots are also making and selling sandwiches and wraps.

This is just your personal preference, not an industry on the verge of collapsing. Their bookings and revenue were at an all time high last year.
