the weakening of steel at higher temps is the reason they spray structural steel with 2-hr fire rated materials. to give time for everyone to get out before the steel is effected by the higher temps.

That photo is the last photo taken by photographer journalist Bill Biggart who was killed by the collapse of WTC 1.
That photo is literally seconds before WTC 1 collapsed and he was still close enough to be crushed by it.
It’s amazing that the memory card in his camera survived.
His belongings that were found with his remains four days later.
