I’m in the beginning stages of building a ‘77 gmc from the ground up. I should be lifting the cab off the frame this weekend.

The transfer case shift is on the left side on 67 and 68 GM trucks. From 69 until 87 it’s on the right. Then from 88 on up it’s on the left again until the gay push buttons and knobs took over.
I truly wish we had a dedicated automotive board.

Surely it does have floor dimmer switch. You just can’t see it.
The picture is correct. The floor shift is offset to the right, exactly where the shift lever for a New Process transfer case should be with a passenger side front drive shaft.

I’m disappointed in you. The floor shift is for the transfer case. That is a 68-72 pickup. You can rule out 67, which was the same body style, because it had the huge lever under the steering column for the service brake. In 68 they switched to the now common foot activated service brake.
I said pickup, but it could be and probably is a Blazer.
