Without a binding contract, no amount of money, then or now, will satisfy these kids. Once you gave the mouse the cookie, 30k or 3 million, they will demand more and still more. You might have delayed it, but I doubt it. It would have just sped up the decline that we are seeing now.

Rumors are that a player, K. Lee, demanded 40k to suit up and play against A&M. Again, IF true, this is a rapid escalation of the demise of CFB. The players already make the schools dance to their tune to sign, transfer or portal. When these one year “contracts” become one game contracts, the sport is doomed. Imagine game planning while being held hostage by a 19 year old.
It’s easy for fans to say, kick him off the team! It’s not so easy for a coach who has an 8 million dollar salary to protect or an AD whose budget depends on wins and losses.
CFB needs a players union and real, enforceable contracts to protect players from themselves.

You are so wrong. Most people predicted that it would become exactly what it has become.
I just assume that OSU is the default leader for anyone that they want in the portal. I hate OSU.

I don’t know how anyone can say definitively either way. What information do we have on Tech? They are better than BYU. That’s all I’ve got.

Nobody cares about bowl games anymore. Even the players, by and large, don’t care. I say, let the kids have fun and the games become unofficial as far as team records or stats. At least no one could pretend it matters anymore.

He is slowly turning into Saban (not as a coach). He has adopted his hand gestures and speech pattern. It’s really weird to watch. He’ll be saying “a’ight” before long.

My only question is, why are his parents so old?
IU’s defense is built to stop the run first. They have big run stoppers up front and big LB’s. The trade off is in their pass rush. Big guys are are not as twitchy as smaller guys.
The trick is on them because we can’t run the ball anyway. Ty will get more time than he is used to and a protected Ty is elite.
The flip side is also true. Their O line is built for running and for playing other big DL’s in the B1G.
Bottom line, get up early and make them play and defend what they aren’t built to do.

I don’t know how old you are, but these are not the public school experiences that most of us had. Schools are a minimum security prison producing below grade level students. If you can afford elite private education, then you can easily downsize to provide education for your children at home I’m fine if you don’t want to, but the world is better off for those who have. Anyone who says that kids are more “socialized” in public schools are ignorant or intentionally misleading.
