Been wondering about this. How do all these people from other countries, some of them really poor, have the funds to just take a month off work and travel around the U.S.?

Their countries are poor, but some of the people are not poor.

Also, I think there's a lot of World Cup fans who already lived in the US, but they still repped other various countries because that's their heritage.

You think everyone is poor if the country is “poor”? Have you ever traveled outside the States?

Collect welfare checks

Some European countries have crazy amounts of PTO. Most get a minimum of close to a month off. Some countries basically shut down for a month during the summer except for essential personal.

Some countries also just value travel way more. Talk to some Australians, its not uncommon for them when they are young to go away for months at a time.

Some of them might be taking flights all over the US to watch games. Like they might be taking flights to see one game in Washington DC one day, then another flight to see a game in Washington state the next day, then another flight to see a game in Miami the day after that.

It’s not like it is in geographically smaller countries, where you just take one flight to the capital city, half the games will be in the capital city, and the remaining games will be just 2 or 3 hours away from the capital city by car.

Many Europeans get more vacation PTO at early years than I got at 25-years. You typically cannot find one working July or August each year.

Vacation: Europe 1, US 0

I understand that not everyone is poor in a poor country, but when you see like 25k Senegal fans at a match, you kind of wonder how they all have the money to travel over here.

I was wondering the same thing until I saw the crowd at the Mexico England match. They didn't look like the Mexicans I was familiar with. Then I realized foreigners of European descent have money.

Can you even give one example of a non-celebrity doing that

Hell I doubt even rich af celebs aren't putting up with 3 cross country flights in 72 hours to attend such non-exclusive events.

There's "rich" people in every country on earth, even if it's just the leader's family. Some of them probably using government funds to travel here.

It's surprising how many people seem to think "poor countries" aren't full of rich people.

They all have a lot of rich people. They just don't have much middle class.

You get a better idea by comparing them to the poorest counties in the US, where you may have 25% below the poverty line, hardly anything but minimum wage jobs for another 50% but still some people making a lot of money.
