The opposition has started in earnest. I've seen about a dozen reels of locals and bunny huggers alike boo hooing and poo pooing the entire effort. Its taken all of, what, 72 hours for the NIMBYS to start their shite?
Best part is, half of those bitching about it don't even live anywhere close to Pecan Island. Just the typical "muh wetlands" "muh culture", "muh wildlife" 'bullshite. I won't 'be surprised if Elon pulls the plug on the whole thing.

I don't believe that's even possible anymore. I think the institutions are so corrupt, that an honest man (or woman) can't hold office without doing some sort of sketchy shite. And I'm not condoning the behavior, I just think an honest person realizes how corrupt it all is and leaves office leaving behind what we observe now.

give it time. Steve Irwin had a pretty good run too. But eventually his over-familiarity with wildlife caught up to him.

Can't wait for the stereotypical pissing and moaning by the locals about how "my heritage" and "my livlihood" is being taken away, starts to swirl. I can all but guarantee you there will be lawsuits filed in a few years about how "we can't catch no shrimp or crabs" or they "run off all de ducks".

what does this even mean? How is the construction and operation of a new manufacturing facility going to break up the community? Will the residents be forced to go get a job instead of depending on government aid for their existence? Seems like Ms. White is trying to get in on the shake down game.

How did you guys deal with this?
There is no answer when you lose something you really love. It hurts. Thats the price of the joy it brought you. That said, get another one. I'm not being cold blooded, but having a new pet to replace the void of the lost pet is a legit coping method. And I say that from many years of experience and having a bunch of dogs I have been lucky enough to own.

I'm offended that Callaway just assumes that was a woman. Did they ask her preference or pronouns. Who is Calloway to define what a woman is? I demand an apology.

I've known numerous men who treated their daughters like royalty. But I dont many (if any) that treat their sons like "prison inmates". If anything, they are far too lenient on their son's poor behavior. At least until junior gives dad a reason to find fault. And once a kid does that, they pretty much deserve their parent's ire.
