It may turn, but if I am in Beaumont or even Galveston I am beginning to get kind of nervous that it might not turn soon enough.

Fellas, if you don't mind, say a prayer for my nephew. He is still at the Children's Hospital in Houston, while his parents have had to evacuate to San Antonio. He can't be moved.

I’m gone, and everything is insured. I was just talking about how I don’t know how I feel about starting over in LC if that’s the case.

Felt the same way after Rita. Really feel for y’all. Hope it all works out.

In the comments she mentioned her house was up on a bluff 25 ft up. Won’t help with the wind, but will help with the water.

But can't water/won't water move the house off of the stilts?? I would so not be there.

Traffic on WB 10 out of LC is amazingly light. Thought it would be heavier for the later people who leave

A word of caution about tornadoes and warnings. These will be spin-up type tornadoes that could have little-to-no lead time. They often aren't monster tornadoes, so if you're in a sound structure, you're fairly safe. However, outside, on the road driving, or in a mobile home, they can be deadly. Just expect them, and try to stay in as safe a place as possible.

And they often are difficult to see on radar due to the low-topped nature of the cells in the outer bands.

Just said a prayer. Why can't he be moved?

I’m neighborhood next door. Had a good view of the approaching circulation from Prairieville area but no funnel cloud was visible.

A bluff doesn’t mean stilts, it means like a cliff, a piece of raised land.
