Why does that matter? Its explicitly written in the bible NOT to judge.
There's nothing anywhere in the bible that says Christians are perfect or will be perfect in the world. In fact there's a lot detailing how imperfect they are.
This doesnt prove or disprove anything.

It's possible to do both.

I'm also agnostic but I'm not sure how you can be "staunchly agnostic". How can one staunchly not know something?

Please add m’lady to that.

Christians are in need of a Savior no different than yourself

OP look at it this way.
The judeo-christian God is a higher dimensional being in science.
If you think about it.

Am I Christian or staunchly Christian?

If you actually did this, you would probably be a Christian. Science actually proves God's existence.
Try reading Case for a Creator by Lee Strobel. Former journalist that was an atheist, did hours of research on Christ and creation to disprove his wife's new faith.

You are going about this the wrong way Francis. Do this for your SO and I bet she will do something for you after MIL leaves and your SO has had to many mimosas. Now that's logic/science/etc.

For one so full of himself you do realize there were many great men of science and logic who were also devout Christians and changed the world in their time. Newton, Calvin, Galileo, John Owen, Copernicus to name just a few. There are many modern days scientist who are devout Christians but they get little or no “airtime” o in today’s secular academic and media world.
Your man of science and logic argument is weak in comparison to these giants who walked before us.

Can someone be staunchly "eh, I don't really know" in any context?

I agree about Olsteen. From what I’ve seen he tends to be more motivational and daily living than scripture.
You and your SO are/would be unequally yoked. While that is a verse in the Bible it applies to you as well. You won’t be happy with a believer if you aren’t and a believer won’t be happy with you if you aren’t as well.

There is a certain smugness to them like they are more intelligent and see through centuries of religion that millions never questioned.

Agnostic is the dumbest of anything you can be.
It’s like oh there’s something there but I don’t believe in it.
Man up and be Atheist.
The way I see it, I'd argue most atheists are agnostic. I see agnostic as "I don't believe there is a higher power but since we can't outright disprove it I keep an open mind about the potential" whereas a true atheist basically thinks there's no chance at all.

Aside from anything. Respect your wife’s beliefs.
Also make sure she respects yours. Don’t judge her and if she judges you, take the high road.
