Typing this from the edge of the pool with a cold beer in hand. Pool is 93 and it’s too damn hot. I think 89 would be ideal.
Thinking about buying some of those floating sun reflectors off of Amazon but they are pricey. Anyone tried them?

My tops out at 89 to 90 - It's about 89 right now. That's at the edge of "any warmer would be too warm".

My pool is shaded most of the day, as long as it’s above ~77 degrees or so, I’m good with it.
Just checked the temp and it’s 90 right now.

83 but the chiller is working hard.
It was 91 when I turned the heat pump off for a week while we were out of town. Then pulled it back now when we got home.

Kool Your Pool
I have two of these and run them overnight when I want to cool it down. Two nights ago it was 92F. In the morning it was 85F. How well it works depends on the pool water temp and the dew point.

The heater is electric. We don’t have gas where I live. I have a propane tank for the generator but without a tank we don’t have gas hookups. Like I said the heater doesn’t run much 4-5 months a year.

90.7 right now. I imagine it would be higher without the fountain. Sweet spot is 85-88 for me. Anything below 85 begins to be a little too cool for my liking.

I have a dual function heat pump. No issues or maintenance yet. It’s not quite as efficient as a true heater or chiller but a good middle of the road option.

Our pool temp is currently at 89. I put a sun screen over the pool to keep the water temp down. If it gets much hotter, I’ll turn on the bubblers to help bring the temp down. My wife (has MS) does pool therapy every morning weather and water temp permitting. Anything above 90 and she can’t get in the pool.
