Hydrogen Peroxide mixing chart for garden use

Use the second chart “To spray on sick or fungusy plants”

Atrazine will kill the Bermuda and not damage the St. Aug

That has not been my experience. I've used Atrazine in my yard for years and at most it stunts the Bermuda temporarily. But then it seems to come back stronger.

11 days in. Working well. The St Augustine is showing a tiny bit of stress but it is still looking nice and green!

Bladders might be busted. Happened to mine. Rebuild kit was much cheaper than a new pump and it was super easy to rebuild.
That’s a good start.

All I see is Bermuda creeping into your St Aug.

I was under the impression that you shouldn’t dethatch St Aug cause it damages the runners and does more harm than good?

I guess maybe certain circumstances and conditions the benefits outweigh the risks?

Usually when I transplant I’ll pinch off any flowers or fruit and then just let them go after that. If the plants are still pretty small you could cut them. Or you could leave them be and push some growth with calcium nitrate.

How deep is your trench?

I dug it by hand with trenching spade. It’s about 8” deep if I remember correctly.
I added a hose bib in the garden using PEX and it was pretty easy. It allowed me to make a continuous run without having to make a bunch of connecting joints along the way.

My strawberry box is on a slight slope and I can tell you this much. The plants on the lower side are much healthier cause that’s where the runoff goes. I have to irrigate often cause the higher side dries out faster. And I only have about an inch and a half drop over 16 feet.

Awesome. It’s already looking a little stressed. So are the broadleaves and nutsedge :nana:. So far the St Aug looks unfazed but I’m sure it’ll show some stress, too.

I plan to mow close to the weekend and then hit it with the Greene Effect again. Then I’ll probably fertilize with some 24-0-6 a week after that.

Sprayed the Recognition, Fusillade, surfactant combo yesterday evening since it was a mild and calm evening. Also added some Greene Effect as suggested by Mr LCN. I just sprayed this one section of the yard where I added the sod last year. It’s about a 32’ x 32’ section, just over 1k sq ft. 1 gallon just made it.

Here’s some before photos:

Will update the progress in a few weeks when I hopefully start seeing the results.

ETA: Also, it may not look like it but it has been about a week since I mowed the lawn. Will wait to mow until next weekend.
