Does anyone ever use the 7 or 8 button?

How old is your microwave? That's some slow computing.

Setting it for 66 seconds is the most efficient way (if you don't have the quick minute or add 30 sec buttons)
This is what I normally do. Honestly, I sort of can't stand when I hit 1 and it automatically starts at one minute. Drives me crazy. There should be a separate button for one minute aside from just tacking it onto the 1. So then I have to hit Cook Time and whatever time I want.

I also just throw shite in the oven during pre-heating which also drives her crazy.
Now that can legit mess up the cooking process of your meal.

My microwave has a knob/dial that increases time when turned clockwise and decreases time when turned counterclockwise. I don’t mess with input of actual numbers.

I have to turn the knob on mine.

START is 30 seconds, then every time I press it, it increases in 30 second increments until desired time.

Does it go to 11?

It's funny how the microwave knows that you mean 1 minute when you type in 100.

i hit '1' and 2 seconds later it starts ETA so now how dumb do you feel?
yes this is how mine works. If you want 5 minutes, just press 5… 3 minutes press 3. Don’t even have to press Start

We have a microwave that has a dial for time. It’s gotta be 50 years old.
Posted on 10/13/26 at 12:11 pm to Jon Ham
I usually set it to 69.
A while back it was 6-7, just to show the kiddos their old man keeps up with the latest fads.

I refuse to microwave for even number increments.

You don’t have the auto minute button on your microwave?
You sound poor.
