For food try El Cañete in Raval

You are third person to mention this place. Reservations made. Thanks.
I know this board says to bypass Milan but we had a great three nights there. World premiere of The Name of the Rose at La Scala. Got to break out my white dinner jacket. Standing table at intermission with snacks and beverages waiting should be an option everywhere. Plus saw a quintet there that morning for a show in the lobby with an absolutely incredible clarinet player.

Private tour of the Last Supper and the cattle call tour of the Duomo. Plus a very good Milanese meal and fun night on the canals in Navigli neighborhood.

I’m not making a pitch for it over Rome, Tuscany, Venice (never been) or the Amalfi Coast but a nice way to spend a long weekend in the lead up to a busy week or Lake Como.

Perfectly fine. I usually stay there for work. Have stayed at 4-5 places there if you have specific questions. Rooms are cheaper because it’s a little walk to anything of interest to tourists, unless you have something at the convention center.

The Barnes Museum is fantastic.

It is pretty incredible. The Philly art museum is also great. And the Rodin museum is worth checking out as well.

There is a pizza place by the Barnes that is good.

I rented a bike and ride up the river on a Saturday morning. Pretty cool with all the boats out on the river.

Also a farmers market on Sat mornings downtown.

Phillies game definitely worth seeing.

I have to leave the history to others. Next on my list.

Are there any good hamburger joints or diners in Mobile?

Blind Mule used to have a good burger but it’s been a while.
One last bump for any suggestions. Heading out soon.
I booked this place in 12 South. I defer to the board but I think that area might make sense. Germantown could be another option. Had to cancel and think it’s too small for you but here is the link:

Can this possibly be interesting?

I enjoyed part one. Interesting summary of historical developments in ethics. Fairly straightforward and relatively easy to understand for a layman. Part two has been less so to date and I have set it aside for now.
Broadway matinee on Sat? Dim sum in Chinatown before or after.

The American Indian museum is in the financial district and free.

Walk the Brooklyn Bridge?
That’s place looks awesome. Thanks!
Curling class at the Olympic rink. It was cool if you’ve never done that.

I also really enjoyed an organ recital in the Tabernacle. Highly recommend.

We also did a minor league baseball game.

Also toured an outdoor statue garden that was really weird. But cool: https://gilgalgarden.org/

I rented a car and drove from Cinque Terre to Tuscany to Sorrento. We made a stop in Pisa and another NE of Sorrento to visit a town with personal family significance. Gets a little tough around Sorrento but otherwise very easy drive.
Edited title to add trip notes beyond restaurant requests in original post.

Looking for specific restaurant or music venue reccs for upcoming trip. Overall itinerary set and major sites/tours booked. I will try to post a few pics or trip summary.

Particular beach spot in Barcelona?

Flamenco show or live music reccs? Yes, it’s touristy but we are tourists. Also, have symphony tickets already.

Restaurant reccs in Milan or on the lake? Something convenient to La Scala?

Anything unique or out of the way that I might not have considered that is a must do?
