My stupid arse new one has a child lock where you can’t just open it in the middle of it cooking. You have to hit some dumbass button first. I had to find the secret button combo to turn that shite off.

Anything up to 90 seconds, im typing it in seconds. Beyond that, I use the +30 button repeatedly to desired time-ish

All the numbers on my microwave are instant buttons for that many minutes and I have the Add 30 Seconds button.

a guy at work reheated his coffee in a styrofoam cup for 20 seconds, except he hit 20:00 by mistake and walked away. After about 4 minutes, the microwave was full of boiling brown foam. Had to throw the oven out.

Anyone here old enough to remember when Microwaves had an egg timer like timer before displays and buttons gave us multiple different functions and power levels on a microwave. It was on or off.
