LSU took a major tumble in both national polls on Sunday after a disappointing 35-34 overtime loss to Kentucky in Lexington on Saturday night.

The Tigers (4-2, 1-2 SEC), who entered the weekend ranked No. 10 in both polls, dropped 12 spots to No. 22 in the AP Top 25 and 11 spots to No. 21 in the Coaches Poll.

Meanwhile, Kentucky made a significant jump following the upset, moving to No. 15 in the AP Poll and No. 17 in the Coaches Poll.

Georgia took the No. 1 spot in both polls after a 20-17 win over Alabama, while previously top-ranked Texas fell after losing to Oklahoma.

LSU returns home next Saturday to face Mississippi State in another SEC matchup at Tiger Stadium. The Bulldogs are ranked No. 16 in the AP Poll and No. 19 in the Coaches Poll.

Texas drops only 6 spots for losing a neutral site game to a terrible OU team with a losing record while LSU drops 12 for losing a road game to a Kentucky team with a winning record. Make it make sense.

We are lucky to still be ranked. LSU will be doing great to end of 9-3 when the final result will be more like 7-5. Geaux Tigas!!!
