Will tune in to this one a little tomorrow for sure.

Oddly enough, that is the site of Bryson's famous request for a ruling on an ant hill

Isn't that where he made a 10 and the cameras caught him counting his score on his fingers?
They should honestly make more courses like this to penalize guys for bad drives.

With so many courses having less trees now, a lot of the risk/reward has been taken out of the game at most courses. Guys just want to hit it as far as they can for the most part.
Judges are scoring pretty hard, but I guess that's normal for this late in the NCAA's
I think the tech problems have lasted over 2 hours now.
Technical difficulties for the last hour lol. Brutal
I also just remembered that there didn't used to be a LIV round on Thursdays  so the networks are just finding ways to work it into their programming.

R1 isn’t on FS1 until 5PM CT

They should definitely have adjusted this after everything that swirled over the last 48 hours.

I am willing to bet the PGA Tour will frick with them and make it extremely damaging financially and personally difficult for them to get their tour cards back. I think they'll want to embarrass them.

This would be incredibly stupid for the PGA Tour to do for the best players on LIV.

Getting all the best players back on the PGA Tour would be extremely valuable and a huge win for Monahan and company.
Works out better this way to get eyeballs watching both days too. Casuals don't care about the 7 vs. 8 games since it's not win or go home.
Definitely a lot of people at the Golf Channel punching air today.
I guess we'll have to see if there's any truth to that. I pretty much don't believe anything the Golf Channel reports about LIV since they are bought and paid for by the PGA Tour.

What recourse does LIV have if players start saying screw this, I’m not waiting till the end of the year for my clock to go back to PGAT start?

Well it's only a few players that were given the option to return to the PGA Tour at this point. So it's essentially just about what Bryson and Rahm want to do.

75% of the players on the LIV tour are better off collecting their checks for the rest of the season while jumping into whatever DP World Tour or Asian tour event fields they can.

the story was blown out of proportion and members of the media were manipulated by bad actors in an effort to cover up imminent layoffs at the PGA Tour.

What does this sentence even mean?

All this guy says is that they’re continuing as planned thru Mexico

Next event is in Virginia starting May 7th. It would not shock me if reports heat back up between now and then.

Just make it through June so we can have the event in Louisiana please.
I am glad I will have the option to watch LIV golf for the rest of the season. I can continue to watch very little golf from each of the tours outside of the majors.

Hopefully Bryson and Rahm are in the final pairing in Mexico on Sunday.

It sure has gotten awful quiet in this thread.

For sure the "victory laps" have been postponed for at least a little while.
In other words, they will finish the season and then reevaluate at the end of the season. My guess is that the PIF does not fund LIV in 2027, but they have to give the perception that they are in it “for the foreseeable future.”

Well, for starters one day Tiger and Phil were gojng to most likely be honorary starters at Augusta. I doubt that happens in either case now.

The only way Tiger is not eventually an honorary starter at the Masters is if he can't physically swing a club.
