Instead of just 60 seconds? I’ve done it forever and always catch myself when it’s too late. How dumb I feel pressing a button one more time than necessary is not proportionate.

I don't know that I've actually entered a time on a microwave in the last 5 years. I just hit the "Add 30 seconds" button until it gets to the desired time.

I could totally be happy with a microwave if this was the only button on it.

whenever my wife's autism is having a flair up (she goes non verbal) I know I can get her to say something if she sees me set the microwave to something like 1:23 or something like that.

My wife thinks I'm retarded because I just hit add 30 and then open the microwave at some random number.

ETA: I also just throw shite in the oven during pre-heating which also drives her crazy.

Is 120 a minute twenty or will it bang out two minutes for you?

I wouldn’t know. My house asst does it for us on non grilled, non sous vide or non oven baked meals.

Setting it for 66 seconds is the most efficient way (if you don't have the quick minute or add 30 sec buttons)

Our microwave at work only has intervals of a minute based on the number pad. A lot of time I only need a quick 30 or 45 seconds so leave a little time on there for the next guy. Pass it forward.

Our microwave doesn’t have a keypad, it has some dial thing to set the time. So I just hit the 30 second button until desired time.

My primary microwave has a 30 second button

If I want 1 minute I just press twice (no entering numbers or pushing START or STOP)
