This is how you trigger this board.

That's what an Alford plea is for. You can't get around the video of him at the kennels when he lied for months about being off the property. He's not getting a hung jury.

He's 100% guilty

I've been following this guy's crimes since the beginning. All that land that they have and the runway on his property. I think he got in trouble with the cartel and is the fall guy. I think there was someone else with him at the kennels and possibly aided in killing his wife and son, but he'd never out them in public. That is my theory at least.

I guess overturning the conviction isn't the same as acquittal? he's definitely being prosecuted twice for the same crime

You should have emailed or messaged me before you posted that LOL.

This has all but evaporated at this point I think. This was just good defense lawyering.

Dude is gone for life regardless.

frick the court clerk.

Court staff and prosecutors have laws and rules they must follow. Our tax dollars pay them. If they can't do their job properly, then frick them.

Hill, who was in charge of managing the jury and read out the guilty verdict to the court, pleaded guilty in December to four charges connected to the case: obstruction of justice, perjury, and two counts of misconduct in office.

The 58-year-old admitted to showing sealed court exhibits including graphic crime scene photos to a reporter during the trial and then lying about it. She also admitted to taking bonuses and promoting a tell-all book about the trial through her public office.

Clerk of Court:
- Repeatedly tampered with the jury by discussing evidence and expressing her belief to jury members that Murdaugh was guilty.
- Illegally accessed and acquired sealed evidence and documents, and then provided it to reporters.
- Accepted bribes and payments
- Committed perjury

The South Carolina Supreme Court had no choice but to throw out his verdict solely based on her actions.

isn't this double jeopardy?

Also throw the Clerk of Court in prison with him when he’s found guilty next go round. Un fricking believable.

It really doesn't matter. His financial crime sentence is still in place and he'll die in prison
