Yep. Completely my assumption here, but I'm betting the lone juror probably said something along the lines of that he believed she was suffering from severe depression or some other type of mental issues/disorder, but that he was still voting guilty.
Then foreperson, having the opinion that any mental issues constitutes reasonable doubt for NGRI, injected that into what she communicated.

Think about this for a moment: if a man kills 3 kids, he will be immediately targeted once he gets to prison. So either he'll be in protective custody the rest of his life or he's a dead man. What does that tell us? It tells us that the most hardened male criminals still have a more ethical stance about doing harm to children than your average American woman.

It's becoming clearer by the day that this country cannot continue with these deep divisions. We're either going to have a peaceful separation or an extremely violent one. I read this all differently.
1. His count was regarding her insanity. He knew she did it, but he wasn’t willing to say it’s because she was crazy. More that he was not willing to let her off with an insanity defense.
2 I read it as she was excited to get to a verdict and out of the jury room. But, I think I misunderstood and she’s just evil.
