What is missed on the modern person is that the majority of these lands were not Indian land, it was empty. There was a wave of two of disease that swept through the Americas about 10 years before the Pilgrims hit the shores. Incentive based needs to be the way to go. The first one that does it will take a bit of a beating up front, but in the long-run, this massive buy outs only help the agents and the coach and hurts the school.

This is not complicated people. The AD that hires a coach for 10 mill a year for 10 years with a massive buyout at LSU, better hope that coach delivers. Because their fates are tied together; especially after what was witnessed in TS last Saturday night.

If you do not want that risk, then do not take that job.
