Apparently almost nobody at Bungie had any idea about this and found out from the announcements. Developers were still working on the future dlc’s/expansions they had planned like Shattered Cycle as of yesterday. Never change Bungie. Jesus Christ . Hope for a D3 is little to none.
Yea, I don't see a way they could implement it for this upcoming season at this point, there would be a revolt. It would have to be for the 27/28 season.

Yep, and it has a bigger effect on people's health and quality of life than most realize.

The summer days are already naturally long. There is no need to make them "longer".

So, for people's health and quality of life, you opt for the option that has the summer days "shorter" and the winter days "shorter"? Make that make sense to me. Going to permanent DST wouldn't make the summer days any "longer" than they already are, it would just make the winter ones "longer" per se.

I don’t understand the mindset of people who want it to be dark in the morning and bright in the evening.

It is pretty simple to understand really. There isn't much that I'd be doing in the morning before work that would be greatly enhanced with any bit of sunlight but the opposite is the case in the afternoon/evening after work.
Dumb. They should have streamlined their menu and focused on doing fewer items better, and leaned into their clientelle. Families aren't going to go to Hooters no matter how "friendly' you make it.
Eh, I don't entirely agree there. Using a sauce doesn't change the actual principles of how the meat is cooked, like wrapping does. That part is unchanged, so my view is it is still bbq. Now, to your point though, needing to rely on a sauce to make your bbq is a different issue entirely and I think used as a crutch far too often. A good sauce can absolutely enhance an already good bbq, but should not be used to cover up laziness/incompetence.

Hey man, you don't have to keep proving to me your provincial outlook.
Still '28 as of now, but a lot think he is a strong candidate for reclassing. I think we've been recruiting him like it is a possibility.

You sound very uncultured.

We think it is for smoked chicken. fify
May be a hot take, not sure, but I generally don't consider anyone that wraps the meat, BBQ. Now, i'm not arguing that it isn't delicious, it definitely is. However, wrapping it turns it into something different. Still can be incredibly tasty, just not BBQ.

When authoritarianism is overthrown, it typically leads to anarchy (albeit…temporarily)

I understand that and again, i'm not arguing that this doesn't happen. I'm arguing that when you are designing a political spectrum, your scale is structured to show what the next phase past one ideology to the next ideological step along that same philosphy would be, if you want to take that ideology further, not what happens when an ideology fails and is revolted against.

What you are describing is a reactionary move away from one ideology when it fails. What you are talking about here is actualy the pendulum of political alignments that happen over time. When a political ideology fails or goes too far in one direction for the general public, the pull is to generally go as far in the other direction as one went in the original direction. That doesn't mean the next step beyond authoritariansim is anarchy, what you are referencing is actually the rejection of authritarianism is anarchy, which for a political spectrum needs to be on the opposite end, not the next step along the ideology of authoritarianism. The more authoritarian the failed regime is, the more anarchy driven the revolt will be.

I am not a destiny 2 player but have a question. Is this one of those games that people have spent thousands of dollars on? I remember reading something a few years ago that said it would cost thousands of dollars to unlock all destiny 2 content or something like that. I don't remember if that included micro transactions and guns or just actual content.

Nah, it isn't quite that extreme but it is up there. If we are including Destiny 1 and Destiny 2 base game with every Expansion story, DLC, Annual/Season Passes, etc I think the number was around $750 over 12 years, taking us through The Final Shape Expansion. So probably roughly just under $800 through the most recent expansion that we are in currently. That would be buying everything day 1 and not waiting for any bundles or anything, which there has been plenty of that would make it cheaper.

I *think* you can currently get everything D2 related for like $250 or so at the moment, and that will obviously be going down in a couple weeks it looks like.

If so, it's wild to see that just kind of coming to an end. We pay for many things in life that are not permanent, but something like this can hit different and make you feel like a fool.

Part of the big exodus that occurred was when Bungie sunset a bunch of old content that people already paid for. They've ended up bringing most of it back "revamped" which pissed off even more people and caused another exodus

Damn! I'm just over 3k, for D2 at least I think.
