It won't be in the picture, til they cave or onwards to the next deal & team.

Yeah that is exceedingly obvious. Both sides playing the game.

Yeah, it’s obviously public posturing. At least we know the bottom value for a Jrue trade is 6 and Huerter now

I haven't been on here in few days.

Is Cam Reddish out of the picture?

It appears that Atlanta is willing to do 6 + one young piece. It’s assumed that the one piece that they are willing to part with is Huerter. That’s their stance as of now, who knows if they budge, if the Pels budge, or if the deal just doesn’t happen. I think it may depend on what the Pels’ draft board looks like, and who is available at 6 on the night of the draft.

When did we trade 4 to Atlanta last year? Was it draft day? I would expect we’ll probably see a similar timeline here. Another week of rumors to go.

Part of what we traded for was Jrue’s potential, he was coming off of an All-star season at age 23 and no one really knew what he could turn into.

Making an all star team in the east at that time meant nothing. He’s a much better player today.
My point, and the point of showing what guys like PG and Kawhi demanded in a trade is to see a reference of what to expect.
If #1 this year is supposedly like #6 in a good year, then how can you think #6 for Jrue is a fair trade? PG said he wasn’t resigning in OKC and they still have up two really good young pieces in Oladipo and Sabonis, both who have made all star teams since the trade.

Jrue isn’t close to as good as PG or Kawhi

I’m just trying to be realistic in regards to a possible return for Jrue. It appears that Huerter and 6 is the bottom as to what we can expect.

ETA: When Jrue was traded for, he was 23 and was coming off of a season where he put up 18-8-4, we were paying for the potential that he could turn into a 25-10-5 type of player.

Seems Pelicans fans have negotiated themselves down to Huerter from Reddish or Hunter.

If we're asking for two, and they're saying we can only have one, my assumption would be that the "worst" one of the three wouldn't be the only option.

If we can get 6 + Reddish or Hunter, Atlanta can have 13 in a heartbeat. We aren't realistically trying to add three ~20 year olds to the roster anyway.

Pels: #1, #6

Pels fans think they can get pick # 1 and #6 for Jrue and #13? No way. Not even in a weak draft.

Maybe pick #1 for Jrue, Hart, and #13. But not #1 and #6.

Huerter is better than Tyler Herro.

Fans were floating Herro as a main cog in a return for Jrue in a possible MIA deal

The Jrue trade talk with Atlanta being aggressive actually makes more sense. When you think about it from the Hawks perspective, they probably see Jrue as a Klay Thompson type next to their Steph Curry. Not necessarily a shooter but a player that can D up on the other teams stud guard, and is willing to learn on offense to be effective.

Having a team with assets and a legit desire to not just want Jrue because he’s a good basketball player in the mix driving up the value could mean good things.

6 + Reddish and I take the deal.

I’ve talked myself into Reddish’s potential in the last 48 hours. Which is a literal 180 from my opinion this time last year.

That said, if it’s multi team it must mean that is likely not the deal.

Just trade Jrue before the season starts....first 20 games in Jrue isn't worth a 2nd.

Huh

Year 1 to year 1 can you find things that Huerter was better at? Not really finding them at a very cursory glance.
