Lane Kiffin shared a funny story Monday about recruiting LSU freshman defensive tackle Deuce Geralds.

Kiffin recalled traveling to see Geralds in Georgia on a day when his school was closed because of snow. When Kiffin arrived, he noticed another car sitting in the parking lot.

“When I walked by, the window rolled down, and it was like, ‘What’s up, dog?’ It was Bo Davis,” Kiffin said. “I never thought he’d just say that. He was there too. So we were the only two people there.”

Davis, LSU’s former defensive line coach, was apparently just as determined to see Geralds.

Kiffin then explained what made Geralds such a priority on the recruiting trail.

"He’s just a dynamic player, you know, that makes plays... I love who he is and how competitive he is. So, glad he’s here.”

I remember being a student worker that recruited fellow students in the quad to a literary class. All the football players came. So did the girls getting into teaching. Bo davis was in that class…now worth a whole lot more money than I will ever see. Of course I just cringe at the thought of having to work as hard as Any college football coach not named Brian K….
