I’d like to get back into the mid first round range. I think we could in a deal for Herb or Zion. Also, I know that the back of the first is normally easier by either buying a pick or trading a depth player (Jose, Bey, Missi, Hawkins, etc).
I wasn’t sure his defense can fall off any further lol.
I told you guys that the NBA ain’t leaving New Orleans as long as their money to be made for All star games.
Yeah that’s all we can hope for is that we keep winning and Zion does well off the bench. Then the narrative can be pushed that he just needs “ a fresh start” and hopefully we can net a first round pick or two from a desperate win now team during the deadline.

If people are still dreaming about Zion staying healthy and improving his game at this point I don’t know what to tell you.
Nope I’m so done talking about Zion being anything more than what he is. He’s an injury prone slasher that can’t shoot. He can pass and drive to the basket but he doesn’t play defense nor shoot the ball. Nothing more
I honestly don’t care who get back for Zion as long as it contains their first round pick. Also, I don’t want a terrible contract too lol.

Watch us trade this goon and he never gets hurt again and all of a sudden plays iron man bal like JV did for us.

He’s still a one dimensional player with no jump shot nor effort on defense.
I just want us to get a first round pick or two. I don’t really care to much about the player. Hopefully, it’s an expiring contract

Some of the blame is actually on Zion. I hate to side with Perk but he was right. The owners and management (Griff included) banked on Zion being a superstar player and he hasn’t. They’ve centered the organization and built multiple teams around him. However throughout his time here he’s been unprofessional, hasn’t improved his game, and mostly unavailable. Now, Gayle is wrong for not wanted to move on from him and is completely delusional about the franchise. You can’t have a successful basketball organization with football people in charge, an unavailable superstar, and astronomical ticket/concession prices for a consistently struggling team.

She’s just one of the many billionaires that are in control who are completely out of touch with appealing to regular people.
He’s always hurt lol.

Look at this team with Zion on the court and Zion off the court… And ignorant people still want to trade him? You have to figure out the health, it’s the only chance of this team to actually compete.

You can’t rely on Zion going to be healthy. You have to let that go! If 6 years hasn’t shown you then I don’t know what is.

You have to let Zion play for a stretch in order to build up his trade value then trade him in order rebuild around Fears and Queen and.

Yeah that ain’t gonna happen. Don’t fall into that false hope of Zion getting it together. It’s great to watch but it’s not long term.

I didn’t know Queen and Zion can play so well together. That was great to see. Also, it helped Trey out too!

I’ll be man enough to admit, I did not know Queen was that good when we drafted him. He’s incredible. So is Fears by the way. Those guys bring me joy!

Don't get me wrong, Dumars sucks and we knew he was going to suck. Griffin sucked before him. Willie is not a good coach and Gayle is a non-existent owner. Zion deserves a HUGE portion of the blame for the space that we're in. Dude was supposed to be a perennial 1st Team All-NBA freak of nature. He was drawing Lebron comparisons heading into that draft. Had he lived up to those, admittedly hella lofty, standards it covers up a lot of a franchise's shortcomings, both on and off the court. Zion turning into a worthless loaf of a basketball player destroyed this era of the franchise.

I totally agree with this statement! Zion is just as guilty as Griff, Willie, Dumars, and Gayle. His lack of professionalism crippled the franchise for years. They’ve built teams around him and he’s never available. My only hope is that he comes back for a stretch and plays well enough to be drafted for draft picks. I will be excited to build a team around Queen and Fears. They’re young but at least they give a damn.
Who wants to pay 25 bucks for a hot dog and small drink while the Pelicans are getting blown out by 30!

It’s a way of life as a Pels fan!!
What about Z Bo in his prime?

As a reminder, our best lineups this season have had Zion and Queen on the floor together

That’s a small sample size and it’s not sustainable. They basically play the same position as an undersized big. Except Zion is always injured and ball dominant with no jump shot and Queen is not as explosive but has better vision and has a jump shot.

I fully agree with that original post and would only add to find a better coach.
