If Shough liked #9, he should go with #6 since it is 9 upside down. If he liked #12, he should go with #15 because 2 is 5 upside down.

If I am Trump, I start publically deploying troops to the northern border.
Zion in Miami make a ton of sense for him, for us and for the NBA. I am absolutely ready to be done with is fat arse, but don't want to give him away like we did with BI.

Rookie Jersey Numbers

Posted by saints5021 on 4/29/25 at 10:28 am
The Saints site does not have any info on what number the rookies would wear, but I went through the roster and found that every number worn by our rookie class (respectively) has already been taken.

- Kelvin Banks - #78 worn by Erik McCoy
- Tyler Shough - #9 worn by Brees, #12 worn by Chris Olave
- Vernon Broughton - #45 worn by Nephi Sewell
- Danny Stutsman - #28 worn by Rejzohn Wright
- Quincy Riley - #3 worn by Jake Haener
- Devin Neal - #4 worn by Derek Carr
- Moliki Matavao - #88 worn by Jack Stoll
- Fadil Diggs - #10 worn by Brandin Cooks

I would assume that Danny Stutsman, Quincey Riley and Moliki Matavao will get their numbers after roster cuts. Others have no shot and there are no highly picked guys that will be able to buy numbers, so here is what I project their numbers will be.

- Kelvin Banks - #77, #73 or #68
- Tyler Shough - #5, #6, #15 or #18
- Vernon Broughton - #59, #65 or #92
- Danny Stutsman - #24 or #29
- Quincy Riley - #30 or #24
- Devin Neal - #24 or #5
- Moliki Matavao - #80 or #89
- Fadil Diggs - #92 or #62.

Obviously making a roster spot available for Keenan Allen
Landry >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> JBE

In this state, that is all you can really ask for.
Shough >>>> Rattler. Rattler is the very definition of a 5th round QB. Poor play, bad measurables. The dude went 0-6. You owe him nothing.
Exactly. We asked for a different organizational direction and all of us wanted Carr gone. Shough represents those two things happening, so why wouldn't you get behind him?

I have heard a few NFL guys quoted as saying Shough goes 1.1 if he is 22 or 23. He dropped to the second round because of age and injury history, not lack of talent.
I have no doubt that he has a shoulder injury. I imagine it is one of those long term things that he can mostly fix with PT, but eventually will need to get it cleaned up. If I am Carr, and I know I already have all the money the Saints will give me, I am not in their future plans, I am 34 and will be 35 when I get cut and I have gotten that shoulder hurt the last 2 seasons, than getting the surgery now is probably the right move.

I still hate him but I understand why this is playing out like it is.
If QB hits, we can be a contender after the next draft. We will be off of all the old guys next season and will have drafted a ton of young cheap guys to replace them.

Need to trade Haner

Try to get a 5th or 6th for him. Still young and would be a good backup for somwone

Well, that's your opinion. Multiple scouts have him ranked as the best QB in this draft

re: Is there still hope for Foskey?

Allen sucked all the talent from every rookie and somehow redistributed it to scrub defensive backs. Foskey was as pedigreed as they come. School sack leader, athleticism off the charts, young and hungry, team captain. Somehow, he was unable to record barely any stats in the season. Yet he had journeyman DBs and UDFAs starting games in the defensive backfield. Has to be some sort of football talent vampire.
