I'm not saying we are drafting a lineman, I'm just saying Mickey's history says we are.

Go back and look at Mickey's draft history the last 20 years. The pick will most likely be DL, DB or OL. The few outliers are Olave (who we also picked an OT with), Stephone Anthony (who we also picked an OT with), Brandin Cooks, Ingram (who we also picked a DL with), Reggie Bush and Meachem.

Since 2003, we have only picked away from those 3 positions 6 times, and 3 of those times, we had 2 picks and picked a DL or OL.

Maybe Moore changes their thinking, but I would expect an OL (Fano), DL (Bain, Bailey or Woods), or a DB (Downs or Delane).

it seemed liked almost all of his sacks were coverage sacks.

It is true that he wasn't beating his guy like Chase immediately, but he was always in position to make the sack. You can't say the same about our other DEs.

One funny thing I saw yesterday is he was constantly getting chipped and double teamed. It was like the Falcons didn't care about Chase, they just didn't want Cam to get another sack :rotflmao:
I am throwing money at a Guard this offseason.
This board needs to get out of the 2010 mindset of what a positional player is worth. Cam Jordan is a rotational DE who can stop the run and just got you 10 sacks. He is absolutely worth 12 million next season. That would be a steal at what that kind of guy costs you today.

I woudl trade him straight up for Zion just to be rid of him
I think Underhill said he is retired and we still have his rights.
You need to think about him and DD as Chase Young and Juwan Johnson last year. You already have 12 million allocated to them, regardless of if they play for the Saints. At the beginning of the year, I would have said eat it on both and let them go. However, they both help you win this division next season and they both are still producing. Give them a 2 year deal, spread the 12 million out and move on.

Mariota would be a better fit
Watch the Falcons wind up with Mike McCarthy :rotflmao:

re: Olave is OUT vs Atlanta

Posted by saints5021 on 1/1/26 at 10:30 am to
If Shough wins this game without Olave, give him the damn MVP
LG and Breece Hall in FA ... this is the way
frick Atlanta. Brees and Payton spent 15 years evening our all time record. frick losing to them
If we had won that game and beat Atlanta, that would put us at 8-9 and 4-2 in the division. If Tamapa beats Carolina, I believe that would put us in a 3 way tie and we would have the tie breaker, correct?
If you pair Shough with Breece Hall and any + Guard, we are a top 10 offense regardless of who you draft.

IMO, bench doesn't matter for his trade value. GMs are watching him dominate 4th quarters. This is what rehabs him. It only takes one dumbass GM to think that they can fix him.
Hopefully Murray comes back and isn't terrible. IMO, you trade Poole and Jose if Murray looks good.
