I think there is some smoke to the Sanders drop. Usually QBs shoot up the board the week of the draft. I can't recall someone being hyped as the clear #2 during the whole process dropping from top 2-3 pick to second round. Usually, you have the opposite like last season where McCarthy, Penix and Nix were all talked about as second rounders and weren't talked about as first rounders until the week leading up to the draft.

The entire NFL draft community thought that Trubisky would be a better QB than Mahomes.

We are taking a QB in the first two rounds. If you are discussed by that, you need to get over it. I would much rather take one of the few studs in this draft at 9 and trade into the end of round 1 to take Dart than reach at 9. I can easily see us trading our 2nd and one of the 3rds to go up to 31 or 32 to get Dart.

In the NFL, you either have a QB or you are doing everything you can to take one.

I have no issues with the Davenport pick. The Saints thought he was the missing piece, we were in win now mode and when he was actually on the field, he was the most talented guy on D. If you want to shite on Loomis, Turner and Ruiz is who you should be focused on.

He had a high level job with the NBA the last decade so it's not like we are hiring Avery Johnson. I still think that even if it works, it is so lazy

Start off by saying I hate the entire process, but maybe there is some value in a true NBA guy that has run championship, worked in the league office and was a HOF player. Maybe he can get through to Zion and have hard conversations with Gayle about what needs to be done.
