Both the intro and tavern scenes of Inglorious Basterds stand out. Masterclass in tension.

The scene in Three Billboards when Willoughby coughs up blood on Mildred. The switch from their banter to genuine caring is phenomenal. Also love the scene where Dixon throws Red out the window.

I was a junior in high school when it came out (yeah - I'm old) and one day our football coach\history teacher came in and asked if any of us had seen it yet. When no one answered yes he announced that they were on earth all the time.

It obviously was not a huge shocker when I did see it.
