My cousin is exactly this. Has had good jobs in the past but has been living with his mother and jobless for 5 years now. They are not wealthy, either. Basically both live off of her social security. He's going to be in for a rude awakening when she dies at some point and he has no savings, income history for SS, and has a 20 year gap in employment on his resume.

re: Things to do in Chattanooga

Bumping again- Heading to Chattanooga on the July 6th for 4 nights. We will have our 2 year old in tow. Planning on doing the aquarium and some easy short hikes. What are some good family friendly lunch spots? What about other things to do besides lookout mountain and ruby falls? We have a cabin on the river about 20 minutes out of Chattanooga so will be doing dinners there. We like breweries as well. Any other thoughts are welcome!
Coming in from a long day of fishing or hanging out at the islands at sunset in the gulf. You really can't beat that.

A friend of mine has built a few of these. Seems like his all in cost + time spent doesn't make it that much cheaper than just buying a turtle box. But if you enjoy projects like that more power to you. Full disclosure: I have a turtle box and like it a lot. All I had to do was open the box and charge it.

Appreciate everyones advice. Im definitely used to quiet and calm Lake St. John and MS/LA marsh fishing. Should be interesting to see how this compares! Worst case is we head back to the house we rented, cook steak, and have some good drinks!

Bumping this thread from 5 years ago. Heading to False River next weekend. We rented a house and will be bringing a center console to just cruise around and relax. Where should we launch the boat, eat, stop for drinks on the water? The water is high at our place on Lake St. John and they just re instituted the no wake for Concordia Parish. Is that an issue on False River? Thanks!

I really like US Park. You can reserve a covered or uncovered spot and pay online. They constantly have shuttles running (pick you up at your car). It takes like 2 minutes to get from your car to the front door and you don’t have to lug a suitcase across a parking lot. When you get back, exit out of door 5 and they drive your right back to your car.

Hey man, searched "Amsterdam" and this thread popped up. I am heading to Amsterdam for a week in early May. What are some can't miss things you'd recommend doing while there? I plan on doing the "dam boat guys"boat ride, I Amsterdam pass for transport and museums, and want to do some day trips within an hour of the city. Love food, hole in the wall pubs, art, and just exploring new places/things. Would you recommend a pre paid train card or just pay per ticket? Any tips are appreciated!
I saw a paused photo of her puzzle and it looks like they mistakenly gave her the win. To me, the top board should have been swapped with the bottom board. Oh well!

Under the Hill Saloon and the Corner Bar are great dive bars if you are in to that.
If you want good cocktails and food you can also dine at the Pub under the Castle Restaurant.
Free disc golf course in Duncan Park for outdoor activity.
Farmers market on the bluff every Saturday morning.
I also endorse the other restaurants mentioned besides breakfast at the coffee company. Have had too many bad experiences there.
I’ve watched a house cat play with a horribly injured but still living mouse. I don’t want to be the lions play toy.
I was wondering why he didn’t tell Lorraine about going to the ranch and even ignored her call when he was there. My thought is that he wanted to come back to Lorraine the hero to gain her approval.
After looking at his Instagram, I wouldn’t even trust him to be my Uber driver.
Yep, you have access to those shared areas as an owner according to the listing.
In a video she posted of the looting she was screaming "everybody must eat!" over and over again... I don't know about everybody, but she definitely does.

We stayed there 2 years ago. The resort is pretty but very large. I enjoyed the outdoor bars scattered around the property. Not trying to be negative but I did find a lot of the food just had an odd flavor to it. Maybe it was the type of container they store it in… you’ll have a good time if you are just trying to relax. If you want to get out on a boat we chartered a catamaran through happy fish catamarans and it was a lot of fun. Maybe not with a 7 mo pregnant wife though.
If you like hole in the wall type places (not upscale) there is a bar on the back side of aloha wine and liquor. Open air with a small marina to look at. Corn hole boards and cold beer.
Well I’d guess misfire since any non deaf person knows the difference between and gun firing and not firing.
That drove me nuts. They were pissed the dude burned down his shelter before he left and called him "petty". When the girl was tearing up his raft, I wish he would have thrown her in the water...

You definitely succeeded in having the worst cop story.
