If you can, watch the MAX (or ID) show on the investigation and subsequent trial. It will help you gain a different understanding of some of the key points which will inevitably come up in this 2nd trial.

I binged watched all the episodes yesterday There are about 5 total

I finished the 5 episodes Wednesday night. If you're talking about the "A body in the snow" documentary on MAX.. If it's something different I'll definitely give it a watch also.

OHHH and one thing in the doc that dumbfounded me was the expert testimony on the Jen Mcabe search for how long to die in the cold.. Defense expert says it happened at 2am or whatever, prosecution said no its because she had a search window open.. Defense then says that prosecution was wrong because they were using the wrong IOS.. Did this ever get resolved in the real trial? It seems it would be pretty simple to figure out with a couple of phones overnight. I mean if she did that search when the defense claims she did, that would be another reasonable doubt for me.

I was watching motion hearings from yesterday and the judge was saying CHART.. I had no idea wtf she was talking about until I finally figured it out.

It's a fascinating situation. The victim seems overall like a good guy, by townie standards, and it's sad that he died. Karen seems like an absolute garbage person, even by townie standards, but she absolutely should not be convicted. It's like rooting for the bad guy even though she's not really the "bad guy" she just has a shitty personality.

Watching the doc is entertaining as hell though. I swear half the people they interview could go to my gym. Boston through and through.

Totally get it. She's not a very likable person at all... There were several points in the doc where I said to myself, oh that's it no way they convict her now.
The vehicle garage video being inverted and the trooper actually spending time by that tail light was a big moment. Big enough for me if I was on a jury for reasonable doubt. There were other points in the doc as well.. But that was a big one.

Yeah I'm a true crime junkie but never got attached to the first trial for some reason. I'm all over this one though. Been watching motion hearings from yesterday all morning

Would not surprise me at all if that story was put out there to intimidate Karen Read to take a plea deal.

Could definitely see the CW pulling that type of stunt.

I am pretty sure if I were treated like the defense team by a judge, I would be filing a report with the Judiciary Commission.

The doc didn't mention that at all.. but by your statement I can only imagine how hard the defense is fighting the prosecution and the judge. She should be totally impartial but unfortunately they very seldom are.

i just really hope it's all going somewhere real and not going to just end up some whacky pseudo-supernatural explanation for everything getting weirder and weirder.

That would suck if it ends up being haunted whacky trees, etc..

I started this series a few weeks ago thinking there would only be 3 seasons.. I hate waiting a year or more for the next season of something.

Anyway, I'm liking it OK. I'm usually more into series like Better Call Saul where every little detail is important and unbelievable things don't happen, like chaining someone to a bed for days without letting them go to a bathroom.. But it's been a fun series to watch I guess. I keep getting a "Lost" vibe that none of this shite is really happening and they're all dead..

The 2 hikers will be interesting I hope, but even then, the believable thing to do would be to let them lead you out even if you kill them at the last minute.

If they are requiring receipts, serial numbers, and other hard proof, then that is unreasonable.

Would have all burnt with the items presumably.
