FDR knew what he was getting into with the Great Depression. His family actually discouraged him for taking on the job fixing the country. His family was wealthy and prestige and felt it was the poor people's problem. FDR was not back stabbed like Trump. If anything he did the back stabbing. Hitler did not just appear over night.

Nixon should have said we achieved our objective and had us out by 1970. Second he should have come clean on Watergate from day one and had he, I heard many supports of his at the time would have brushed it off. He was paranoid.

In Trump's case, no past living presidents have given him support. They have distanced themselves from him.

When I lived around Daytona Beach 25 years ago I had a pawn shop owner tell me it was a busy time of year for them kid pawing stuff for beer money.

He told me high school and college girls would buy a gold chain on daddy's credit card at a jewelry store then pawn it for beer money. If daddy asked to see the gold chain they'd lie and tell them it fell off in the ocean while swimming. Girls are good about lying to cover their tracks.

Seems even if it is not a NATO problem surely some of these countries benefit from the goods coming through the straight.

There is a liberal Harvard historian professor that posts stuff everyday on Facebook about Trump that is not flattering. She bends the facts and truths. Reading the comments, many middle age women are either trying to convert their MAGA dad or husband to the dark side. Sad.
