I miss the days of cheap hamburger meat were you could make a cheap pot of chili or spaghetti. Even meat loaf was economical. But not at 10 bucks a pound.

Not totally true. Alabama is strict on certain things like growing strawberries commercially. If the state inspector finds animal (rabbits, deer) feces in the field they can fine you and shut you down.

I think the same could be said for Texas. I hear Austin is very liberal from the outsiders moving in for the high tech. Austin, the Texas capital does not have the oilmen roughnecks, ranchers and cattlemen/cowboys like the rest of Texas has.

I think what we are witnessing in the middle east is a paradigm shift around the SOH. Even if the Iran war is a bust the new ways, which will take time will pay off in the future and make Iran less relevant in the oil world.
Same think with Ukraine. Trump seems to got the NATO countries off their arse and spend more on defense.
