How about merit bitch, you wouldn't have a platform based on merit

Torch, she has zero life experience where merit propelled her anywhere. It's a foreign concept, and I assume one she and other self-proclaimed victims just lazily brand white supremist or toxic masculinity so she doesn't have to think too deeply or accept that her status is unearned (should say undeserved) or opinion is nonsense.

And she is NOT getting the nomination nor will she make it past Super Tuesday if she runs.

No mention for R.E.M.?

I'd go with:
Eagles
Van Halen
Petty
REM
Beach Boys
CCR

I swear, you people can’t even let D-Day tribute go by without dragging in this childish crap

Yep. It's gotten embarrassing.

(From AI)
Richard Petty is famously quoted as saying David Pearson was the greatest driver he ever saw. Petty has stated: "From a pure driving ability and being relaxed and just doing it without getting emotional about it, he was the best. There was no doubt about it,". Pearson himself would acknowledge Petty's opinion, saying he would "never argue with anything his friend said,".
Now do Bert Jones and you can put a bow on the 1970s.

Get the pre-2000s (Faulk is a lock) in this decade because we're going to need space for the post 2000 players.
After the debate, I was surprised when CNN's Van Jones almost started crying while starting the ball in motion to get Biden to step down. Other networks did the same.

Strange? These people have propped him up for years and now ALL of them are implying he may not be up to it?

There is NO DOUBT in my mind then or now that somebody (probably Obama) put the word out to his media allies before the debate: "Let's see how he does, but be ready if he bombs".

QB - Lamar
Center - Bowers
RB - Bijon
WR - Jefferson
WR - Chase
Any movie with Zombies - can they be killed? Sometimes. Well, it depends...yes...no...maybe.

I'm out.
They made up shortly after this and Carville said something like "he fights...we need him" or some predictable nonsense like that.

Hogg is a sniveling punk, but so is AOC and they've made her a star for America hating criminal loving leftists. They can do the same for him. I hope he goes away but if he has any value to the left, they will find a place for him.

re: Way too early GOP Primary poll.

Vance-Rubio looks like the right GOP ticket now. Vance will not pick Haley. It will be Rubio or Youngkin. Vance needs Rubio NOT to run, but I don't see how that happens unless he's guaranteed VP.

Harris will not be the nominee.
quote:

Would love to see a VANCE/RUBIO ticket

But will Rubio go for this? He's run for president before and did OK, has tons more senate time and arguably a harder and more visible job than Vance currently.

Vance recently said Rubio is perhaps his closest friend in the administration. When together, I wonder if they discuss the elephant in the room. No way Vance would run as his VP, right?

My personal list is as follows:

1. Connery
2. Brosnan
3. Dalton
4. Craig
5. Moore
6. Lazenby

As an older Gen Xer, Moore was Bond during my formative years, and not having anyone to compare him to, I liked him, right up until I saw Timothy Dalton nail Fleming's Bond in two movies. Brosnan and Craig were good. Lazenby was OK in his one attempt.

Roger Moore is no better than 5th. Ranking him high is mainly due to his quantity of work, not his quality.

Connery - the original and the best. Took it seriously.
Dalton - Read the books and he's Ian Fleming's Bond
Brosnan - Looked the part and did fine.
Craig - Close to Fleming's Bond but maybe too ruthless and dark. or maybe not.
Lazenby/Moore - Moore was not believable if you read the books. Not even close.
add these....

Styx
INXS
Foreigner
B-52s
Motley Crue
Peter Frampton
Rick James
Kool and the Gang
REO Speedwagon
J Geils Band
Squeeze
B.T.O.
The Cult
Billy Idol
38 Special
Huey Lewis & The News
Three Dog Night

but Cyndi Lauper gets in?

re: What is today's "prototypical" QB?

Posted by ATCTx on 4/28/25 at 9:57 pm
The any era prototype QB is John Elway. He had size, speed, cannon, toughness, and cool under pressure. No weaknesses or limitations.

The current prototype has to be Mahomes although it seems like he's lost a step. Josh Allen is the most Elway-like of today's QBs.

Mel Kiper still has Elway as his top ranked quarterback draftee all time and this from a GM:
"He was the blueprint -- Stanford brain, best arm I've ever seen, run, throw, confident, competitive," a current general manager said. "He ruined looking at quarterbacks

Assuming this is just genres of popular music...

Country - George Jones, Alison Krauss
Rock - Freddie, Ann Wilson
Pop - Sinatra, Karen Carpenter
Soul/R&B - Sam Cooke, Aretha

JMO.

The greatest pure vocalists, however, would be opera or musical theater singers, simply because of extraordinary talent and decades of vocal training.
There is a fundamental difference between right and left. When the left presents solid evidence of a failed policy or obvious crime, the right usually concedes the point because they believe in right and wrong and consequences.

The left believes in right and wrong when it suits their values. Values trump right. Values trump wrong. The media is a perfect example.

The left is lost, but dangerous.
This. Rogan is exactly the type of elitist wannabe Maher has been railing against for a year. You could see Maher's face cringe the second time Rogan playfully said how much "we love you Bill" while implying Maher was duped by Trump for meeting him.

These people are insufferable. Figures they only hang out with each other.

Historians are almost all left and will never give Trump any credit for his wins, so there is that.

I cannot think of a more consequential election than 2024, maybe Lincoln in 1860. The country was sliding into economic, military, and cultural meltdown. Trump is a pro-USA radical and his will be the most active presidency since FDR.

Four years of Harris and the USA would look very much like Western Europe. I just can't believe 48% of voters wanted her to win. It should have been under 40.

The Dems are down but not out. They have every information/indoctrination institution (media, education, entertainment) shilling for their nonsense and lunacy, and if they hold ground or increase in the midterms, 2028 will be far from an easy GOP win.

How Green was my Valley over Citizen Kane
Charlie Chaplin, Alfred Hitchcock, and Stanley Kubrick never winning one.
SIL over SPR
Pam Grier not getting any nomination for Jackie Brown
Cher winning for Moonstruck over Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction
Out of Africa winning over The Color Purple
Dances with Wolves over Goodfellas
Nicholson in the very average "as good as it gets" over Robert Duvall as The Apostle (Duvall's best performance IMO)
