I have nothing against her. She wanted to come in and make a difference, and that’s what I want from people in government. I don’t know if this is related to her husbands health or frustrations with the administration, but I wish her well. We need more like her in govt.

I don’t expect a massive shift of black people to the Republican Party. I think it is highly likely that black men will continue to flock to No Party and Independents. Younger black men rarely are staunch dems and that spells trouble for that party in the long run.

The next few election cycles are going to be interesting. With all the gerrymandering both ways I don’t know if we will have the wild swings in mid terms where one party has a 30-40 seat majority anymore. I think even if the dems win the house it’s only going to be by a few seats. If they lose they will blame it on the Jim Crow 2.0 south and SC further dividing us.

Mark Andreeson was talking about shot spotter and camera tech that instantly spots a license plate or vehicle tied to a crime or felon. Austin had disabled some of this tech due to protests, but is now having to rely on suburbs who still use it to catch the criminals. You can’t make this stuff up.

Thune will be tough. Being senate leader gives him a huge advantage. Many people in SD will be reluctant to vote out because of the perception that he can do extra for the state due to the position, and they’re not wrong.

When the best the left can come up with is “a capital police officer died two days afterward from a heart attack” then there’s not a lot of insurrection there. All serious individuals have always understood Jan. 6 to be a nothingburger. Meanwhile, we have leftists actually trying to kill the president, but I’m sure they are just lone gunmen types.

He seems like a solid take to me. I’m more interested in the staff finding the most defensively elite catcher they can find. Even if he hits in the low 200’s would be worth it.

I don’t find her to be that attractive. She’s not ugly, and she has kept herself in good shape, but not overly attractive. With that said, she could be a fat slob and I wouldn’t care if she is a strong conservative and represents us well.

I’ll never understand his vote to impeach Trump. I get that he thought Trump would be out of politics, but even had that been the case, LA is a super conservative state that Trump one with ease every time. I guess he thought he wouldn’t be running for reelection for 6 years and that most would forget. Just dumb.

Based on current birth rates the black population has peaked at around 12.5%. Blacks and whites currently have almost even birth rates per female with blacks falling at a faster rate. Both are far behind Hispanics. With much lower life expectancy than other groups they will begin to see their overall % fall.

Billy D Williams as Harvey Dent in Batman(1989). Many major cities were majority black by the 80’s, and had started having a good deal of black politicians, police chiefs, da’s etc. It would have seemed stranger if there weren’t some minority representation in local government.

Ian Fleming had James Bond as a descendent of a well established Scottish family. His mother was Swiss. Idris Elba doesn’t exactly fit that lineage. With that said, I wouldn’t mind seeing Elba play a character similar to Bond. I think he would be great in a special agent type role.

I think we lose a seat or 2, but still hold the majority. Collin’s will win ME. I think we lose NC and GA although Ossoff could be defeated. Rogers may win in MI.
