Just finished Alice in Borderland. I'd rate it as a tie with Squid Game. Both very good. If you like Squid Game, you'll definitely like Alice in Borderland. No spoilers, but they are very much alike.

Subs or dubs?

English subs with original language for both. Not even close any other way.

you missed the part where players could throw each other off, thats the problem with bottlenecking the glass bridge. if people behind you are going to die if you dont move they dont really have anything to lose trying to get you to move if you are bottlenecking....we saw it earlier in that same game.

I didn’t miss anything. The guy who ended up winning crossed the line at :01. If he hesitates for even a moment, he goes against the chick in the final at worst. If she doesn’t make the decision fast enough, he’s the last standing. For someone who’s been cold and calculating the entire game. It didn’t make sense for him not to seize that opportunity and have already made up his mind what to do in any situation.

Bruh. I thought Squid Game was dark. Alice in Borderland is rough. Agree on subs for both.

I never thought he was a sympathetic character. He was a degenerate gambler that owed money to a whole slew of underworld scum. He stole from his own mother to go gamble instead of getting his daughter something nice for her birthday.

I was rooting for the chick to win. The cop twist was easy to spot, so was the old man reveal. After going through all of that, I damn sure would have been spending that money on some secluded Caribbean beach. You would have to, to honor those who died for you to live. I know contestant #101 would have wanted me to snort that coke off some stripper titties.

I assume you accidentally linked something (Tijuana drug cartel doc) other than what you wanted to (SNL skit).

So many plot holes and unexplained/unresolved narratives i don’t know where to start.

its best not linger on plot holes in a show like this. I hope they don't do a second season because the further it gets expanded the worse it will be

it reminds me of the movie Cube.

My wife and I finished it last night. It took us less than a week. It’s been a while since we watched something that fast and was refreshing to see real binge worthy content again on Netflix.

Cop twist I saw. Old man twist I should have saw. I was waiting to find out who the Host was at the end and had previously remarked they didn’t show the old man actually get shot.

I am pro season 2.

Subs >>>>>>>>>>>> Dubs.

It appeared the American VIPs were voice overs. It looked like mouths didn’t always appear to match the words.

I believe it is the first show I’ve ever watched beginning to end where I couldn’t tell you a single character’s name.

If that guy had waited any longer then he likely would have been pummeled with glass shards worse than the girl ultimately got. Granted, none of them knew the glass would explode at the end so that wouldn’t have affected his decision making but in hindsight it would have been just as likely the game finished with no winners had he waited a split second longer

the ridiculous orange hair.
so what was the point of this?
my wife is a hair stylist and I asked the meaning of colored hair on people.

She said "trauma". People who color their hair have undergone some type of trauma.

So take that for what's it worth in the colorful world of LGBTQZG but I think that represents the change that happened to the MC by the end. Still up to him what to do about what happened to him.. If anything

There was actual nudity in this (albeit short) but in a show where people are killing their fellow man for money, that’s the last thing on your mind.

Weird flex, but ok.

Sometimes just knowing who survived and that they’re going to keep up the fight better than actual resolution.

I always use Matrix and Big Little Lies as an example of having all your questions answered with a sequel not being a good thing.

Don't you want to see his purple-haired SJW quest to bring the evil American white guys to justice?

I enjoyed the series. It definitely wants me to become a communist and it heavily rips off other movies, like Battle Royale and The Island of Lost Toys, but it was entertaining nonetheless. The part about the cop and his brother was unnecessary and didn't really amount to anything, though. I'm not sure why it was even in there.

I don't think additional seasons would be any good. The newness has worn off, and that element of the unexpected is what makes it good, ripoffs notwithstanding. Plus, the way it ended, they'd have no choice but to turn it into a crusader movie with the main guy acting as a vigilante cop/detective. Seent. Done't.

The Island of Lost Toys

What is that one? I've even googled and came up with nothing. Closest thing was some Rudolph thing with an island of "misfit toys."

Sorry, that was the Simpsons spoof name. The actual TV show was The Prisoner.

The cop took a bunch of pictures of all the past champions. So maybe they do a Hunger Games-esque tournament of champions for big money or some such. Would be a nice play on the old man's theory of people with no money and people with a lot of money having the same thing in common as that would conceivably be the only way to get everyone back willingly.

If done well it could be interesting.
