Did anyone that watched the show NOT use a Won to USD conversion at least once?
Not until you mentioned it just assumed it had to be a few million. Did the conversion online, roughly 3.8 million USD. If I did it right that was the final piggy bank size. Ending was ok and they definitely left it open for a 2nd season.

Is it still 1100 Won per dollar?
1179.53 is what the generic conversion table that pops up on a Google search says.
I think the last poster is off by a factor of 10. I get a little over $39,422,000 for 46,500,000,000 Won.

Yep left a 0 out. Got to many zeros when it comes to Won !

I just finished. It, binged it all weekend. I watched it dubbed, not subtitle.
Great watch!!!
Besides the old man and the main character, my favorite character is the crazy arse woman.
One thing I don’t understand
Slight spoiler
Before the marble game, there were 19 teams. If half of them won, there should have been 20 people left. There was only 17 left. Did three of the teams not determine a winner and they both died?

I started typing the numbers and immediately had it autofill the rest. I laughed knowing that I was one of probably millions to type in the exact amount from the show.

The real voices with subtitles is the way to watch it. great acting by the main characters. The dubbed voice acting was pretty bad.
As for the American high rollers...horrific voice acting.
Spoilers:
What would have happened if the girl doesn't die before the last game? Guess they would have played something else suited for three people?
And what about the old man? Was he playing fair or were the games rigged in his favor for his safety? If so, he took a huge gamble with the tug of war game

He knew he was dying, so he didn’t care, he wanted to know what it was like to play. I believe he knew the dangers.

Yeah, only way to do it in my opinion. I finally finished it last night. Great show, count me in the corner of not see the twist at the end with the old man.
The marble episode was really good television and acting.
I read the director is not sold on doing a 2nd season, but I'm guessing they will throw a ton of money at him and he will.

Can we get “Spoilers on page 2” in the title so we can discuss the show?

I thought it was fair and only the front man knew his identity.

This was one of the best shows I've ever seen...no joke
The marbles episode was incredible
Not a huge fan of the ending though

Same here. Loved it but I wish it ended differently. And the feels like they left it hanging with the brother cop.

Not reading the thread because I still have 2 episodes left and don't want to spoil anything, but I've been loving this show show so far.
I'm becoming a big fan of Korean cinema. Of the things I've seen (this, Parasite, Train to Busan, some others) they seem to do a great job of mixing great acting, drama, humor, hyper-stylized violence, etc.
Gganbu was absolutely gut wrenching.

Sorry about that. If start a thread about a show again I'll just put that to begin with lol

Watched the first episode last night. I'm interested enough to keep going. These "life or death/unrealistic games" shows are cool, but man it would be nice if they had a reason that this shite existed within the plot (although I will watch either way).
Like in Alice in Borderland, we just are thrust into these games with literally no explanation of how they are possible.
I hope AiB comes back soon. That one was great. We shall see about Squid Game.
