Yeah this looks great. The only negative mark on it is them foolishly casting a black Snape. I’ve heard the actor himself is good and I don’t blame him for taking the role, that poor decision falls squarely on HBO. Hopefully they recast him for season 3.

Again, other than Snape, it looks incredible. They actually got people who love Harry Potter to work on it and it shows with the level of detail both in production design and even down to their clothing.

Will watch to see how it is... I do think they should have stuck closer to John Williams Score but i wont let it ruin the show for me. I'll give Black Snape Moan a chance but plan to roll my eyes.

Glad they listened to the criticisms and brightened up the color grading. The first trailer in March was significantly darker and duller.

I'm really looking forward to getting the entire family together and watching this on Sunday nights. Love when HBO has a show my wife and I can watch together on Sunday nights, typically HBO, but being able to add the kids makes this even better. It looks really good.

The two main characters that were picked on by rich white kids... are now both black. That is enough for me to pass.

The movies from OotP and beyond were abominations, so maybe they can remedy a lot of that. Plus, these kids aged out of those roles very early on.

I feel like this will be great, but I won't be able to enjoy it because the original actors and actresses are just so engrained in my mind to those roles.
For instance I just look at the screenshot for that trailer, see that kid posing as Harry Potter, and all I can think is "that goofy looking little shite isn't Harry Potter" because all I can picture is Daniel Radcliffe. Same with Emma Watson and Hermoine, and that ginger frick.

Its operation human shield like always. The defense will be “muh racist just hate black Snape” the truth is they are changing the story and have admitted they’re doing it which is what’s really going to piss fans off.
