I get transfers from these charter schools every year. Every kid is at least a year behind my other students. These places are scams.

So, declare for the draft.
Teams are told not to draft you.
Sue the league and its parent NBA.
Profit.

Timing. University of " " became more popular in the late 1800s due to the founding of land grant " " State University schools. This wasn't universal.

I have a family member who has been a drug addict since she was a teen. Completely messed up childhood. Terrible mom. Thief, liar, etc. She ended up in jail for about a year. In jail, she got clean and started working on herself. She found our she is bipolar (something that my sister never bothered to address). She has been out for several years now. She has stayed clean. She is in a good long term relationship. She is amazing with her kids and those kids are so damn happy to have a real mom. She has kept a steady job and moved into a manager position (even without a HS diploma) where she acts as a mentor for her young employees.
People can change. I never stop telling her how proud I am of her for the way she has turned her life around.

The way judicial districts are drawn is ridiculous. Black neighborhoods are purposely over-represented because the districts aren’t required to each contain a relatively similar number of people. So, you’ll have 10 districts, and 5 of them are black neighborhoods. The black districts are each maybe 20000 voters while the other 5 districts each have 100k+ voters in them. It’s a blatant violation of equal representation, yet has been allowed to stand for some reason despite similar systems for state legislatures and city councils being tossed out as unconstitutional.
Population doesn't matter as much as the number of cases. Those black districts see ten times the cases per capita.
re: Elon Musk is Putting up BIG Money to Try to End Alaska’s ‘Ranked Choice’ Voting System
Posted by Deadmanshand on 8/9/26 at 6:16 pm to Major Dutch Schaefer
The entire purpose of the ranked system is to force third party voters into the two party system. Democrats fear losing votes to the Greens and Republicans fear losing votes to Libertarians. Ranked voting guarantees that third party voters will be funneled back to the big two.

RD will continue at Starbase, TX. Starbase, LA will be for production, polar launches, and South American satellite launches (Internet to the Amazon). Baws will be employed for nearly constant construction, as well as producing Starships and Starlink satellites.
The big difference between this and the TX location is that Brownsville is right next to Boca Chica and has a population of 190k. That means more residential development for workers and likely better infrastructure connections to Lafayette and Houston. Intercoastal access will be important as well.

We rarely left the state. Most years we would go spend a week at Bridge Side in Grand Isle. The farthest I traveled until I was an adult was Houston or Fort Walton.
re: Putting an infant down in the crib after they have fallen asleep

My first daughter went down easy and slept through the night. My second daughter woke as soon as I laid her down. She was cruising at 4 months and walking at 8, so she would just stand and walk the edge of the crib crying and gnawing on the rail like a zombie. She ended up spending most nights on me in the recliner in her room.

Resold tickets above original price should be invalidated. The ticket broker lobby, which gives tens of millions to candidates at every level of government, will make sure that never happens.

Sexual attraction does not necessarily equate bisexuality in women. I have friends who are lesbians that will still go after the D. They enjoy sex with men; They just do not have any interest in a relationship with one.

What was said, or was it even brought up, in that Thursday school board meeting?
Boilerplate and quick adjournment. Committee of the Whole meetings typically take one to two hours, especially on the first day of school. This one was finished in 40 minutes.

The social media comments are always fun... The choices seem to be...
1. He didn't do it. Whitey is after him.
2. Whether he did it or not is immaterial, because Trump and AG and Landry and on and on.
3. Yeah, he did it. Brother should be getting paid because he is amazing and a community leader and the kids and on and on.

Statement from EBR Parish School Board leaders
President Shashonnie Steward and Vice President Cliff Lewis released the following statement after Cole was indicted.
“As President and Vice President of the East Baton Rouge Parish School Board, we are issuing this statement in our personal capacities as leaders in this district, rather than speaking on behalf of the full School Board.
“We are aware of the legal developments and the state grand jury investigation into Superintendent LaMont Cole concerning matters related to his prior tenure on the Metro Council.
“We want to explicitly state that we stand firmly behind Mr. Cole as he navigates this matter. Our legal system is built on the foundational bedrock of due process and the presumption of innocence. Just as we teach our students to respect fair processes, we must allow the legal system to run its course without premature judgment or distraction.
“Our primary duty, and the collective duty of our district leadership, is to protect the stability and integrity of our educational environment. The critical day-to-day operations of the East Baton Rouge Parish School System will proceed without interruption. Our dedicated teachers, administrators, and support staff remain entirely focused on preparing our classrooms, uplifting our students, and delivering the high-quality education our families deserve.
“We will keep our focus anchored exactly where it belongs: on the academic success, safety, and well-being of the children of East Baton Rouge Parish. We ask our entire community to maintain faith in our schools as we move forward together.”
There will be a board meeting tomorrow night. That should be fun.
