One can make good movies without being a complete asshat so I’ll go Nolan. Both are overrated
There’s a lot of meh in this RB draft class. There’s several RBs in their early 20s that you can sign to 3-4 year deals and cut bait before they turn 30.

A new QB who has played fairly decent.

This is understating things. He’s playing VERY well with one of the worst supporting casts at nearly every position group on offense. I don’t think anyone is ready to crown him yet, but the fact both he AND Moore have gotten better as the season has gone along is a major sign of encouragement. There’s a path to the playoffs (not Super Bowl) next year.

Nothing wrong with being hesitant. Next year is the true test. Stroud looked great his first year. RG3 as well. Plenty of other examples. But if he plays this well next year WITH a better supporting cast, then I think the fans are allowed to believe Shough can be a top 10 guy and lead them to the playoffs consistently.
As much as we all might hate it, we may have to roll with Ruiz for another year. I just don’t see them investing FA AND draft in Guard this year. I think they go after a legit G via trade or FA, even if it’s a stop gap like Bitonio or Teller.

This is also a really good RB free agent class. I’m honestly not that impressed with this RB draft class outside of Love. Even Love doesn’t seem like the caliber of player that Bijan was and I still like him. Just much later than where he’s being mocked. I’d rather then tackle Guard and RB in FA and see them take a WR round 1 and maybe DL in Round 2

This is the most boomer take in the history of boomer.

Then please explain how young people can’t afford homes. Too much Starbucks? Give me a fricking break
Objectively?

Titanic.

Homer pick?

T2 or Aliens

I don’t even think he needs to beat Atlanta if he goes into Tenn and beats the number 1 overall pick

Olave is currently a top 5 WR in the NFL

I think he deserves credit for Moore, Staley, Chase Young.

I think most of the draft class is thanks to Ireland and the coaching staff. There’s a reason why good teams always remain good. The coaches have way more say so in the process (like Payton) and it usually leads to good results when you have good coaches and not so good results when you have bad ones (DA)
WR in Round 1

Maybe DL in Round 2.

Slot corner or RB in Round 3 (if they don’t take one in FA - but I think they will.)

Spend some $$ on a solid young LG in FA like Cole Van Lanen. Sign a cheap backup RG with some age on him and draft a RG next year to replace Ruiz.
If you can’t tell the difference between these wins and the wins you provided as evidence, then there’s really nothing for us to discuss here.

Sooo many different factors at play here
We’re currently 8th.

Bengals are behind us and still play the Cards and Browns. Falcons are behind them and they play the Rams and Saints. I honestly think Saints beat Tenn but lose to ATL just because we’re so banged up. Dolphins will probably jump us to 8 since they play the Bucs and Pats and they’re starting Ewers.

I think we finish with the 9th or 10th pick. And even if it’s 11 or 12, I fully expect Love or Lemon will be there and I’d be ecstatic with either
I disagree. I think we got lucky with Banks and Fuaga (and you can make a case the verdict is still out on Fuaga.) But this FO’s hit rate on OL in the draft is abysmal. That’s not to say we should never take them but I’d feel more comfortable with them getting at least one interior OL in free agency.

And I don’t think it’s necessarily a Saints problem. There’s tons of teams with bad OL play and have a hard time developing their guys.

I have no idea why Kellen was breaking out his best stuff vs the Jets... but im glad he did.

I think it took him time to get comfortable enough with a QB he felt like could handle his full play sheet, a player that could execute at a higher level. I also think it took him time to adjust his playcalling to just how bad the talent level is at our skill positions and interior.

Hopefully we get at least one starting guard in FA and maybe a RB so that way we can get a WR and some other offensive help in the draft
I think Taysom is gone, either retired or just moving on. I think we bring Cam and Davis back for one more year before moving on from them. I don’t think either retire.

Maybe they would have if Shough didn’t give them hope but the way this season has ended, they’re going to want to see if they can make the playoffs one more time
Idk how you justify paying Olave 25-30M to drop TD passes like that
Now just imagine Makai Lemon, Carnell Tate or Tyson catching that third down instead of Mason Tipton
