I 100% guarantee the feedback that drove this decision was from their a-list clients and the fairness/treatment of those individuals.
I'm one who took my money elsewhere. Went to United in 2022 and got Premier 1k for 2023 and 2024. That was after years upon years of a-list preferred with SW....

Boarded A-25, A list... There were 18 pre boarders when you account for actual and then their partners.

Im one of the people they call out in their analysis... Had highest status with SW 2015-2020 and then the clusterfrick started.
In 2022 I siphoned trips over to United and have had Premier 1k on them 23 and 24 and kept minimum alist on SW during that.

The whole reason is to get rid of the pre-board issues and actually reward frequent flyers.
Agree, back in 2018/19 I had zero issues with SW. Pre boarders were 1, maybe 2 on average a flight.
Post covid, it is out of fricking control. I still have status and when someone who spends 10s of tho...
