I’m kind of in the camp of not being able to tell because we’ve only played 2 games of any real note. The personnel fits what’s worked for him but at the same time that ceiling is low and he hasn’t shown any growth as a coach. We already see him shortening the rotation again as SEC play draws near. We’re still not any good on D and we’re still very limited on how we attack teams. This means our players will have to overachieve and even though I think we have some good players the question is can guys like Sutton, DJ and McKinnon maintain a high level of play vs SEC competition?

A lot of our “basketball fans” don’t watch basketball in general and only watch Saturday SEC games when it comes to LSU. I say this to make the comparison of Brian Kelly in football. We just fired a guy who’s had at least some success and fans were almost unanimously on board for that decision because they watch the games and they see the chronic problems. In basketball they don’t watch so they can’t see it and just about every mcmen wouldn’t know what good was because they’re not actually basketball fans. So you get this abstract defense of MM based on off of the court reasoning which is why their arguments look so silly.

Maybe it’s the alltime best win%?
Maybe it’s qualifying for the Big Dance in 4 of 5 seasons?
Maybe it’s only losing once in the 1st round?
Maybe it’s the SEC championship?
Maybe it’s having that type of success compared to the previous 2 guys and the succeeding coach failing historically?
And BTW it took Brown 7 seasons to even make the Tourney so your standards don’t appear to be consistent.
And how was that hype created?

Never hated on Brown, I said repeatedly he’s our greatest overall and basically made LSU relevant nationally. You make a lot of false and weightless presumptions.

It’s because you don’t understand LSU basketball and their history of hiring coaches. Getting Wade because he was young and cheap was a lightning strike. Think about it this way, Trent Johnson is the most qualified coach LSU basketball has ever hired. Now it could change now that the Admin has been restructured but we won’t know until they make a hire.

What he’s saying is false and it comes from a singular “report” from a Woody mouthpiece on a radio show that was just pulled out of thin air. The actual reports from some of the schools mentioned along with NCAA NIL reporting released in the spring disprove that propaganda talking point from that radio show. This was discussed constantly in spring, the first time this nonsense was debunked but in true mcmen tradition after waiting a bit they resurrect old lies and start pushing them again. This happens every single year, multiple times a year.

These people just make shite up. The findings of the Wade situation have been posted here many times. The Dawkins case particulars many times yet they just keep repeating lies because it suits a narrative.
