we are in central florida now so not in the path, but my dad and 2 siblings are still in the panhandle and other than lost power, made out ok

It's been a constant shift east with every projection. I would be shocked if so.
FWB landfall will have the storm passing over my dad's house in Crestview. He stayed put. 25 miles inland.

It's a lot of dirty until you get to the Truman Show.

Well, it will probably be on the "dirty" side of the storm and surge is going to be a factor.
30A connects to 98 at Topsail (Santa Rosa Beach) and goes all the way to PCB.
