knoxx dlc in 1 is still some of the most fun i've ever had in a game.

1 had some great DLC. The end of Knoxx was classic.

I'm seeing the current metacritic is around 84. What I'm reading is promising, scaled back the chatter, but the game isn't much of a departure. Fun but not super imaginative open world.

ETA Just saw they're still doing shift codes. Dev, do you remember that site we had bookmarked that posted all the shift codes for BL2 that had been released up until that point? I think we ended up with a backlog of over 100 of them

I'm crossing my fingers. 1 and 2 were all time favorite gaming memories. I kind of miss it

I downloaded 3 the other day and played for an hour or so. I came away thinking I MIGHT be interested in 4, but I have to wait to see the reviews on the writing. Not necessarily the story, but the general jargon and how annoying everyone is.

I love playing 3, everything else needs to shut up. I saw a gameplay preview and on the surface it definitely seemed scaled back, but I'll wait and see.
Mike Sando does his QB tiers list, I can't remember where Williams landed, but his list is built on input from people in the league. Just among that class of QB's (Daniels, Nix, Pennix), Williams was at the bottom of that list, and the one thing Sando said kept coming up was that Williams was really slow at processing the situation, or couldn't do it at all. It was pretty alarming for a QB that came in that highly regarded, and a lot of people aren't convinced that this will improve.

Really fun back in the days of 360. Could never quite master the sniper rifle on multiplayer and so I just ran around trying to get lucky with the shotgun.

Reddit is full of posts about players pumping 2 or 3 shotgun blasts into someone who isn't looking, nothing happening, then that person whipping around and 1 shotting them.

It's definitely GoW MP.
I guess I shouldnt be surprised that no quarterback is on that list, and it's pretty telling of our situation.
On a side note, Supergrass opened for them. I was kind of a fan and excited to hear them live, but they didn't play "Late in the Day" and they had this obnoxious bright flood light hit us in the eyes every so often. Was glad when they were done.
So they opened with The Gloaming. And if you're familiar with the CD version, I was perplexed at why they were opening with this non traditional, albeit good, song. Then Phil and Colin dropped the live drum and bass parts and Thom started thrashing around the stage. My mouth dropped, I knew I was in good hands

Les knew how to bring in the talent, really no clue what to do with it.
That school literally didn't know what to do once Saban left. Surprised they didn't burn down Bryant-Denny.

lots of people like to show off with the amount of frames they include in their gifs

i applaud you for going your own path

I saw them at the UNO Lakefront Arena during their HTTT tour. Had a blast, was mesmerized the whole time.

Would love to see them again but I can't see them spending a lot of time over in the states anymore.

Has been a lot of speculation, from new artwork from Yorke and Donwood, to the band forming a new LLP, that something was up. Obviously, fans hopeful for a follow up to A Moon Shaped Pool, thinking maybe this is them touring new material before going to the studio (what they did for In Rainbows). Some speculate it's a farewell tour, but that honestly doesn't sound like them. If they were done, they'd just be done and continue to do all the side projects they've been doing for years.

Excited to see what it is, but not holding my breath for a full blown release.

Incidentally, they'll be releasing a special edition Hail to the Thief Live Recordings CD and vinyl on October 31, limited release.

Hail to the Thief Live Recordings 2003-2009 will be available on streaming platforms HERE today at 5pm BST, and features performances in London, Amsterdam, Buenos Aires, and Dublin. This album is one-off pressing to vinyl and CD, to be released on Friday 31st October. Pre-order HERE - limited edition cyan exclusive to W.A.S.T.E., standard black, plus CD.

“In the process of thinking how to build arrangements for the Shakespeare Hamlet/Hail to the Thief theatre production I asked to hear some archive live recordings of the songs.
I was shocked by the kind of energy behind the way we played and it really helped me find a way forward.
For us, back in the day, the finishing of this record was particularly messy and fraught, we were very proud of it but there was a taste left in our mouths, it was a dark time in so many ways…
Anyway we decided to get these live recordings mixed (it would have been insane to keep them for ourselves) by Ben Baptie, who did an amazing job.
It has all been a very cathartic process, we very much hope you enjoy them.”

I feel like we'll eventually learn our lesson with Penn State, but it's fine.
I have no real opinion of this place (I know facebook soccer moms love it). Our one experience was on a road trip, we saw one at the next exit, really only needed the bathroom, but we wanted to see what the big deal was. Parking lot was post NFL game congested, took us an hour to get in and out. Never again.

re: Is Blake Baker a potential HC?

I guess the differentiator for this situation would be his desire to be at LSU. I'm hopeful he's open to stick around and wait for the opportunity to arise here.

He also could stink it up the rest of the season and I'll forget this thread exists.

Is Blake Baker a potential HC?

Obvious thoughts after a game 1 win, but Kelly only has so many years left, and we know Baker wants to be here. He's been coaching for over 15 years and not one shot at a head gig.

Would he be a potential heir apparent or should I read into his resume more, career coordinator?
