It’s all a matter of taste I suppose, for instance I don’t find Theo Von to be funny at all, but I appreciate him.

Dane Cook!!! Pay per View!!!! 20 minutes!!!!!

Cook just got too big, too fast. His early stuff is good, then he somehow was everywhere almost overnight and it became hip to not like him.

You're just making shite up. Just because it worked out in the end, doesn't mean it was pleasant for him. Maybe listen to the podcast a time or 2 before you come on here and type a fricking novel.

huh? I've listened to a lot of MSSP, as well as Gillis on other people's podcasts, and he's said this nearly verbatim

The only guys who really I’d consider “cancelled” or had their careers seriously damaged by online backlash, are guys like Delia and Callen, which weren’t cancelled for anything they said but actual allegations of misconduct. And they’ve both worked their way back to atleast some level of success (I believe Delia is selling out theaters again). Brennan Schaub has also been “cancelled” is some way, but only for just being extremely unfunny

Aziz was cancelled

I dunno. He had a point about world hunger that rings true to this day.

Anthony Jeselnik

- His joke structure and routine is very predictable.

The early 2000s seemed to be obsessed with Dane Cook. The guy is a terrible comedian. Also, Jerry Seinfeld was a head-scratcher to me.

I don't know...Seinfeld's stand-up in the 80s was pretty strong.

That happened in 2018 and he’s since revived his show for a third season and put on 2 major specials in 2021 and 2022 including releasing one with a major push on Netflix. He’s made a personal decision to step away from the limelight, atleast compared to what he was in the early 2010s, but he’s not cancelled. I’m not sure there’s anyone left out there that isn’t on his side on that whole situation

About 95% of them.

I would go higher

I would call this a harsh take, but thinking about it, the only ones that make me take notice when I hear a special is released is Birbiglia and Mulaney. Chapelle is still pretty good.

And she said...

Anthony....

Some of his jokes are funny to me, but the delivery takes patience.

Russell Brand is a great choice.

His voice and mannerisms are like nails on a chalkboard to me.

The easiest way to get me to not watch something is to mention he’s in it.
