I've had the Platinum for around 10 years now. Whenever the annual fee hits, I always call and get a retention offer. It's usually $500 credit or 50k points. I do spend north of $75k each year on it. That's the only reason I haven't ditched it. Coupon book shite.

Have a few that I know of here in Houston. Definitely more common when a restaurant first opens but they are still around.

Which ones? We like Lucio’s, PortaVino and occasionally Collina’s.

“Texas BBQ” way overrated…..
The world has been cooking meats with “wood” since the caveman discovered fire!

$30 for a pound of bland texas sausage?

$35 for a pound of brisket using SPG cooked at 225 degrees with red oak cooked low and slow…..Wow….nothing new here?

I’ve had brisket cooked exactly like so called “texas bbq” 60 years ago in a small town Louisiana bbq joint across the tracks that any “texas bbq” couldn’t hold a match against.

I’d say that “Texas Monthly” expand their reach and take a trip to Lafayette on a Sunday when BBQ is served at local dives and see what BBQ is really like…it’s not just the meats that are awesome, but the sides are over the top!

He’s an A+ journalist. Who cares what he does in his personal life as long as it isn’t illegal.
Candente is great. Goode Co TexMex in the Heights (not in River Oaks). El Tiempo on Washington is a bit of a Jekyll and Hyde- we walk there and eat about 1/3wks but only because it’s convenient. I usually get the carnitas (order them extra crispy). Margaritas taste like soap since they “wash” all the glasses in the same soapy water in a sink. Beef is overpriced. Good vibes still though.
I live 3 minutes from Truth. Its brisket disappoints every single time. Dried out. I don’t get the hype. Pit Room and Pinkertons are much better (judging by brisket only).
Finau can’t putt

The team isn’t looking great but maybe that’s a good sign compared to previous years when they were stacked.
Mental midget. 4 days straight & didn’t talk to the media after the driver failed.
Finasteride Daily and minoxidil absolutely works . I’m almost 40 and started the combo about 7 yrs ago. Great results
Interesting. Anything will be an upgrade from the current owners. Didn’t realize they have 99 holes.

Ask your club pro - they’ll usually reach out and get a time.

Another alternative is Thousand Greens App ( LINK)

Haven’t tried it yet but reviews seem decent.
That’s an Eamon Lynch article. He’s more eaten up with TDS than Brandel is with the Saudi angle.

They’re more comfortable than FJ. I do think they wear out quicker as the leather isn’t as nice.
They’re not going anywhere. Will be interesting with some of the major contracts coming up.
