Comedy sucks now

The only ‘funny’ ones I like now are Anthony Jezelnik and Sam Morrill

I never thought Larry the Cable Guy was very funny. But he became the richest comedian in the world, surpassing Seinfeld and Foxworthy at the time.

>Fluffy

There is a comedian named "Fluffy"?

>Any comedian that can make something stick for as long as Chapelle did should not be mentioned in this thread. We still quote the skit show all the time

The prime demo of this site grew up w/his show. As w/Seinfeld, they quote him out of shared nostalgia.

I'll say it... Matt Rife. He's lucky the lonely loser women of the world love him because he's not a great stand up comedian.

His stand up is meh. His crowd work can be very good.

I've spent some time around comedians in NYC. Comedians only hate on other comedians for two reasons:

1. They steal material
2. They out earn them.

If it's not blatant, they'll call them a hack but it's actually reason #2.

Joe Rogan's stand up was never funny. I think he's semi intelligent and has an interesting pod cast, but he has never been funny.

I'm just glad that for the entire 9 pages, I don't think anyone said Sebastian Maniscalco.

Good job M/TV board!

That happened in 2018 and he’s since revived his show for a third season and put on 2 major specials in 2021 and 2022 including releasing one with a major push on Netflix. He’s made a personal decision to step away from the limelight, atleast compared to what he was in the early 2010s, but he’s not cancelled.

You don't think that decision had anything to do with that attention whore trying to get him cancelled? He was firing on all cylinders before that. His show was popular, he was doing wildly popular specials. Aziz would be a MUCH bigger name today had it not been for the ridiculous "allegations" against him in 2018.

Is he cancelled? No. But it's impossible to deny that it impacted his career negatively and he is still recovering from it.
