I highly doubt it ever goes before a judge honestly

It better not, or they are opening a huge can of worms when we get the big dogs involved. We have a TON of high ranking politicians in the US gov.

No. This has to be resolved.

This likely means it has been, to some extent.

I'm wondering if this continuance was requested by the SEC?

If so, it's telling. They don't want this hearing before the meeting Thursday because they may believe the case was about to be thrown out, and they would be neutered moving forward.

Also, gives them an issue with the players now filing suit if their lawsuit is thrown out as well. Proof of malicious action.

LSU needs to demand that the vote happens tomorrow Or sue the conference This wound cannot be allowed to fester

That vote isn’t happening unless this federal judge gives Sankey cover.

For now the injunction stands which means local judges make the rules which is a better outcome as long as Sankey is in charge.

Then LSU bent the knee.

Then the temperature dropped for the entire conflict.

This. The SEC is in violation of a court order and has opened the league to a class action lawsuit.

I guarantee you governors were getting phone calls from Murrill, Landry, and Kennedy.

Why can't this just end already? I hate to be like so many others, but it would be nice to just move on from all of this.

The meeting will happen but no vote and LSU will not file a TRO to stop the meeting so the request by SEC will be moot.

I have been telling everyone from the start that the SEC doesn’t actually want this to get in front of a judge because the only leverage they have here is an illusion propped up by their massive influence and network.

This lawsuit is a fricking joke.

The SEC/LSU federal court hearing scheduled for today has been continued, and it will be heard at a later date. The situation has generally de-escalated in the wake of LSU's decision to not roster NFL players. There are still issues, but the temperature of the whole situation has cooled.

This isn’t about a deescalated situation of lessened urgency. Unless we soon get a report that the meeting tomorrow is similarly on hold.

No, this is a “strategic” move by Sankey still suffering from PTSD from eating cold gumbo. Part of the point of the whole damn suit was to prevent LSU from having its day in court to defend itself from the allegations. Now that he doesn’t need the federal court to clear the path from the enjoinment of the Baton Rouge court, he doesn’t want to give LSU a chance to talk at all publicly ahead of the closed door session tomorrow where the conference discusses what penalties are warranted.

I was listening to Hannigrif a little while ago and he said this case was not even about LSU behavior. It was about roster control and having all these local courts throwing all the rules aside. SEC is attempting to set itself up to be judge, jury, and executioner on these cases regardless of NCAA or local court rulings. That, allegedly, was the subject matter of the issue.

LSU has filled its roster with no issues and not sure what the outcome going forward into tomorrow is.

Are they still voting? If so, and the vote is to keep, next day ask for a vote to get rid of Sankey.

Also , love the ideas of the clown t shirts, really would be funny if some company printed those and sold/donated them at the next game.
