Correct. They should not change their stance now.
They aren't retiring any more numbers. If they want to issue a certain number to a certain player then so be it.
Don't open this back up for future players to make a fuss about it.
Plenty of former Heisman winners don't act this way over who wears a number.

I'm really glad Fournette made the video he did. You can tell he actually loves LSU. I like how he said 7 was not only the cool number to him, but it represented where he was from. DJ has his own hopes and dreams. Let him rock the number.

Right. Who is he to try and own the number? And regardless what his camp says it sounds like they are comparing it to LSU not giving out 9. If so, why is he comparing himself to Burrow?

Yes. It really is. I had no idea Daniels was this way, but I bet Arizona State fans somehow feel justified right now.
He should be above making a stink about any of this at this point in his career. He doesn't have to like it, but crazy to throw LSU under the bus like this. Especially after how the two helped each other.

Doesn't seem like he has LSU's best interest in mind here. Which would have been to just let it go even if he was upset. His camp chose to make a fuss about it.
