Mississippi State star quarterback Kamario Taylor will miss the remainder of the 2026 season due to a toe injury that will require surgery, according to ESPN's Pete Thamel.

Taylor originally suffered the injury against Missouri on September 26 but attempted to play through it against Alabama on October 3 and Oklahoma this past Saturday. He left both games early and also missed the Bulldogs' matchup against LSU on October 17.

According to Thamel, Taylor pushed hard to return, but it became clear that rest alone would not allow him to play effectively.

Taylor is scheduled to see a specialist Tuesday and could undergo surgery as early as Wednesday. He is expected to make a full recovery.
