Wait so this happened in 2024 and ticking and having kids call him uncle is grooming? Something is missing in all of this.

When Larry Ellison swooped in at the 11th hour, fricked LSU, and reset the market — did we get all this? Nope.

That got tons of coverage. The kid was still in high school and didn’t have near the drama or interest the portal does. There was plenty of people saying wow LSU got hosed but what can you do. The thin skin on here is amazing.

He's using LSU as an example and people have a right to be pissed about him for that.

LSU is front and center of the non playoff college football world and he is a reporter what is he supposed to do? No one cares about the NIL deal of an O-Lineman they care about the top QB prospect in the portal.

Second he never shuts up!

It's kind of his job to talk.

pitchers are throwing harder, regardless of how they measure it these days.

Pitchers are throwing harder but the measurement technology has added MPH to the velocity. Two things can be true at the same time.
The highest I have seen is late second round grade. The majority have him graded at 4th or lower. He will get way more money in his pocket staying at Ole Miss for one more year. He will be 25 when comes out.

Who is the better player today? I think you’re seeing that all over college football now.

Teams have those guys but the elite teams still have the 5 star difference makers.

I would be much more inclined to root and pay to attend games that were played by actual college students who care about the university rather than a paycheck.

Tv ratings and interest in the sport would indicate that you are an outlier.

So if I'm leaving a stadium parking lot and the police are directing traffic, I'm allowed to drive into the officer if they're standing in front of my car to block my lane so a different lane can get through?

Is that even close to what to the question I asked, it had nothing to do about if the woman should driven towards him. In a situation where a vehicle may flee or the status is unknown are police trained to stand in front of the vehicle?
Just curious are cops trained to stand in front of car they think may fell? So much of police of police training seems to be focused on being their own safety I cant imagine standing in front of a vehicle is best practice.

But sure, some smart lawyers got paid a lot to put that unenforceable clause in writing.

I don't why these things dont have a liquidated damages clause that kick in if you leave to certain dates.

If you really want to see shite get sideways, if he goes Oregon the Big 10 will lose its mind.

I haven't met a dedicated travel ball parent yet who doesn't think their kid will be a superstar at LSU on their next CWS team.

In my experience the parent you describe is the exception not the rule. I know as kids get to high school age that changes. Maybe I have just gotten lucky with a much more laid back experience.

What is wrong with Little Dribblers and Dixie Youth Baseball, both of which are inexpensive? Very few kids on travel ball are going to play college ball. Especially basketball so paying thousands for travel ball is crazy.

The ability to for everyone to create a travel team has sucked all of the decent players out of those leagues. It's often hard for decent kids to have fun in those when the rest of the team cant throw across the field.

Most kids play travel ball because it's fun, they like playing with their friends, and they love baseball not because they all think they are going to college. Also no idea why this lady is buying a $500 bat and $3k plus another 4k for a tournament is insane.

Wisconsin lost a guy who signed an NIL deal to Miami. UW sued and lost, that is why they are salty.
Mandel loves to sound like he knows everything even when he doesn’t. He says “probably” if he really knew what new NIl deals looked like ge would say so.

Hope he goes pro though and leaves OM in the dust.

Not happening, he will make more money at Ole Miss.

Joe McKnight?

Was LSU ever really in it? I had always thought LSU was always a distant 3rd.

There’s no better path to playing time than basically an empty room.

The room is soon to be filled with guys being paid a lot of money who have 2-3 years of experience.

They are recruiting college-ready WRs to fill the room immediately. There was no path to playing time for him

This and every coach that recruited him is gone. The kid is going to land at big program with what he thinks is a better path to play.

I blame Frank for his lack of development.

Are we going to blame Frank for his ongoing injuries.

Also my kid got strep throat likely Frank’s fault as well.

This was a bipartisan screw job - all 9 out of touch elites on the SCOTUS fricked college sports.

Yeah the previous system of making hundreds of millions of dollars on essentially free labor whole preventing players making a dime was awesome.

Explain how the decision was because they were out of touch?
